I don't want to derail things, but you were in Baton Rouge last week, and you announced on purpose that you went out for Mexican food. Who goes to the buy you and gets Mexican food? Yeah, we went to... Okay, but we were broadcasting outside of a sports bar, and I guess that was the type of food that they had. So they provided us a really great spread during our show.

2:02And yeah, it was a bunch of Mexican food. I don't know the... You denounce barbecue. I don't know. No way to the Mexican food. No. Okay, let's make something perfectly clear, because when you say that I denounce barbecue, you make me sound like a heathen. I saw the clip. It seemed like you were pretty out on it. No, no, no, no, no. What I'm out on is people recommending to me, you gotta go have the barbecue. I know I need to have barbecue. You know how I know I need to have barbecue? Because barbecue food is awesome. That's how I know. Like it's all like, oh, I'm in Baton Rouge, or like this weekend, oh, I'm in college station, or wherever I'm, hey, you gotta get the barbecue. I know I need to get the barbecue. You know why? The barbecue food is awesome. Stop recommending me your barbecue. Barbecue is great. That's the point, Dave. May I respond? People get snobby about types of food. Obviously, people on the coast say, I'm gonna get sushi in Kansas City.

3:07I think barbecue is making its play for the snobbyist customer base, right? That's what I'm saying. Very snobby about their barbecue. You would get barbecue while you're there. Please never. That's what I'm saying. Barbecue is great. I get it. Come up with something else to write. What else you got to write? Where you get the mech, but nobody says you gotta get the Mexican when you're in the bayou. That's my point. All right, but I didn't choose, Dave, where we were going to do the show from. All right? Should I tell an advance? Hey, listen, make sure you set me up in a place that has the food of the city that we're in. I think you've reached that place in this in this profession that you can make calls like that. I am very famous. I mean, you gotta get Cajun, man. You gotta get the crawfish that jumble liars. Yeah, it's like it's not my first time there. I get it. Like I've had these food. Was it your first time there? No, and you know what? I'm going back in a couple months. All right? I might have Mexican again. I don't know what I'm gonna feel like eating that day. I can't predict the future. So, all right. This is ridiculous. Everybody calm down.

4:08It's terrible tone. Everybody calm down. Maybe I agree. So we got the canes last night. All right. Mike's giving out winners up the wazoo. All right. Just non-stop winners from Mike Ryan, NFL and the college. We'll get to the canes in a second here. Soups are eating. Yeah. They are eating. I'm like rattled off 12 in our own. What is soups? That's super followers. I put these, these are the glengary leads, pal. They go behind a paywall. Okay. All right. On IG. All right. Because the other guy, I don't know if you've heard, bit of a Nazi. So today is 25 years since 9-11. And I, you know, every now and then, I'm, you know, not every year, the anniversary of 9-11. All those, this is 25. So, you know, it's nice around number and feels like something that should at the very least be mentioned. But if we're going to tie a sports angle to it, I always like thinking back about what actually is one of my all-time great, one of my all-time favorite Miami Dolphins memories.

5:12I like how you plan out your thoughts. You're like, this year, I will not think about it. I thought about it last year. I do it every few years, not every year. This is a year. I will not think about it. Every 50 year. I'm a planner. The 22nd year anniversary. I'm going to skip this year. No, no, no, no, no, no. So it always reminds me of one of my all-time favorite Miami Dolphins memories where, you know, 9-11 happened and the NFL was delayed. They had to push back. I don't remember if it was pushback week, one or was week two, but they had to push back. Everything got pushed back a week. And the Dolphins were hosting the Raiders. And funny enough, the Dolphins are playing the Raiders again this weekend. And that was the game where it was a very close game. And you got to remember back then, we're talking the year 2001. Dolphins were still like every year. It's like, oh, Dolphins are good, you know? And they beat the Raiders on a last second touchdown that the Dolphins scored on fourth and short. Fourth and short, they go for it.

6:14And Jay Fiedler. Oh, god, I love Jay Fiedler. And Jay Fiedler with the Cubi Sneak. Well, not Cubi Sneak, it was Cubi Draw. And he makes it just past the goal line. And he pumps the fist, yelling, you know, for the win. And it made the cover of Sports Illustrated. And it's one of my all time favorites, Miami Dolphins memories. So from a sports perspective, there is that part of it where that is rather pathetic. It's certainly top 10 for the 21st century. I know. It's totally pathetic that that right there is one of my all time favorite Dolphins memories, a touchdown to win the game. But in the first game of the regular season, it's a really pathetic all time, great memory. But it is a great memory how we all felt sports being back, you know, 9-11 just took place. Everyone in that room over there, like you guys aren't old enough to remember where you

7:15were and what like Mike, you'll certainly remember Chris, you'll remember Roy, you'll remember like Tony and Jeremy, you guys are probably not old enough to have a great memory of that day, right? I was born in 91 September of 01. I would have been 10 years old, fourth grade, fifth grade, whatever that is. And I remember getting taken out of school. I remember there being like a mass panic across, you know, the world people running and I was like, why are we running? Yeah, no, I mean, same. I believe I was in first grade. And I remember my mom picking me up early from school, didn't know what was going on, just kind of the energy being weird. Like I can still kind of viscerally remember that. And yeah, like my mom taking my hand and we like kind of almost running to the car because there was just such an unknown of what was going on. I remember like later on we were as weird of a memory as this is like remembering we were supposed to go to SeaWorld with one of my friends a few weeks later. And it was like thinking like, oh Orlando and the amusement parks might be then maybe that's another place they would target because there's a lot of people there.

8:17So it was like the feeling of eeriness like I can remember as a kid, but yeah, I don't know my parents act as I was living in Orlando. Yeah, I don't have memories of like I don't remember watching the news type of thing. I don't remember understanding what was going on. I remember being the first kid in my class to know that something was happening because as a bigger kid, you had Twitter, the teacher was like, hey, you're a bigger kid. Can you take some of these Spanish books to the Spanish teacher downstairs? So I had to carry the Spanish books and I was holding all these Spanish books and I remember that the Spanish teacher had other teachers in her room because she had a planning period. I remember looking up at the TV and they were all just kind of sitting there looking up and they were like, yeah, like I hear them talking a plane crash in, but like I think it was a small plane into a tower in New York. Like we don't really know what's going on. So at that point, I walk back to the class and I'm like, something's weird because all the teacher seems really nervous. And then like, I don't know, 20 minutes later, like kids started getting, can you take Johnny, please out of school, this person, that person, this person, that person, it was like, it was insane. Yeah, I got to be the first 9-11 remember and show that leads off of the two guys that

9:19don't really remember it. Yeah, yeah, it spends a good 5 minutes on that. Jeremy could have just said, I don't recall, but he went on a 4 minutes little. That's right. Yeah, I'm long-winded. Check my latest Instagram caption. I literally wrote down, I couldn't write this. And he's eating while he's talking. Yeah, that's right. Does anybody actually remember it? Do you? I do, but I was in school. I was getting ready to go to class that day. I was at UCF, all right. I was getting ready to go to class. I went downstairs to, you know, like grab, I put on the television downstairs, while I was gathering my stuff just to have on in the background. And there was a new station that was on the television when I turned it on. And I see you got the video images and also the headline that says, World Trade Center on fire. And I remember thinking to myself, like, all right, that's no big deal. Like, they'll put that out. Okay, it's on fire. I'll take care of it.

10:20And I shut the TV off and I went to school. And as I'm on campus, I'm passing through the student union before I go to my class. And they already had a massive projection screen set up inside the student union. And everyone was standing around watching. And that's when I saw them, like, oh shit. This is, there is something going on. And then for the next two days, just glued to the news. Could not stop watching the news. Dave, you remember? Well, of course. And, you know, Tasha said that and that reminded me of the fact that, you know, when an event happens, you know, a hurricane happens, you, in that moment, it sort of registers to me. This moment of significance, will I remember? In that instant, I always start to project ahead. Like, is this going to be a memory where I was at this moment kind of thing? And of course, 9-11 is the ultimate in the course of our lives with COVID, probably being

11:23in second there. But it was the amnesia that, yeah, I kind of have to get over is it was not the next two days. It was the next month, at least, that that was, it was wall to wall. That was what the networks were doing. Yeah. All, but I don't mean for a few days. It went on for, as I say, a month. You would turn on the TV and it would be the news anchor just talking about updates from what's going on at ground zero. But on that morning, obviously, we're three hours behind where you guys were. So we're just waking up and everybody's making phone calls trying to connect this. And it was, you know, when you see when they recall what happened, the, the two planes and then the collapse and then the collapse. But it was slower moving in real time, obviously. And so you're trying to piece it together. What is, what is happening? What? What? Is this on purpose? As that slowly dawns on you as you're watching all that and you're connecting with, with pals and family around the country.

12:26And I remember Sally, Icono, Dan, Dhratch and I talking and we got together because it was better than being alone as three single guys and we got together and, and, and, and to, to, I guess, make this little personal circle complete. We went for Cajun food. How about that? Everyone go Cajun food. The other thing I have to shout out, the other thing I have to shout out to is I know it's a, it, it got to be a different story and an ugly story about our military and cover ups and everything else. But the act, let it not obscure what Pat McAfee did. Pat, it got to be something that got co-opted by it feels like the military like I say and got sideways. Do you mean Tillman? Pat, what did I say? You said McAfee. What did I just, Pat McAfee? I'm sorry, Pat McAfee. I'm sorry, sorry, that, not Pat McAfee. A different football playing Pat, Pat Tillman is who I meant to say not Pat McAfee. Tasha is going to make a song about this. But that's right. Pat Tillman.

13:26I mean, imagine. I'm, okay. Listen, Pat Tillman. It started with Zaz going, Dave, you remember Dave, you remember? 9-11, do you remember? That's how it this started. This was better than Dave's Chuck Norris. It is a memory. Only, only marginally. I mean, Pat, but, but I mean Pat Tillman for real. I mean, he, he quit like on the spot quit, quit making a multi-millionaire of his famous football man and when joined the militant. I gotta go fight. Remarkable shit. Remarkable stuff. We're all talking about Jordan coming back in the morning. Remember? Yeah. It's 25 years since Jordan announced he was coming back. Wow. Stole his headlines. So, 25 year anniversary 9-11, you're going to hear a bunch of this throughout the day, you know, yeah, everything changed in this time. Hopefully much better. Yeah, hopefully better than Jeremy did there. It started with Jay Feedler. Oh no, Jeremy was bad, but it was pretty bad all around, guys. Better than me. Stop, stop with the blame game here. So the canes and easy victory last night and you know you get the touchdowns. Did Tony have one or two touchdowns last night? I think I had Tony had one touchdown just under a hundred yards. I believe he was asked if he wanted to go back into the game to get over a hundred. He's like, I'm like, it's always a tricky one because when you have a guy like Tony who is in the Heisman conversation and even Darian Mensa should be in the Heisman conversation. That's all we've been. Yeah, right? Yeah. The guy with eight touchdowns and four in completion so far this season. He's in the conversation. Yeah. But that's always a tricky one, right? Like is there two people come up to Mario Christobal, late in the second quarter like, hey, you know Darian's got this many yards.

18:35What do you think? Well, if you remember last week Darian Mensa was just under 400 yards passing. They called the little swing pass to Malachai Tony to get him to 401 and then Mensa came out immediately after that. So the conversation was had. Mally, do you want a hundred yards? I'm like, no, I want to see my teammates. Yeah, they get 82 yards. So I think one of the things Mario's very good year over year improvement. And I think one of the things that he learned from the CFP experience is the necessity in today's day and age for style points and optics and dominating. So I think that's going to carry over and we're going to put it on some guys. Did something happen with Coach Christobal and the coach of the family? I think so. Yeah, I think so. I got it in like the group chat that there was like a little dust up, little little words exchange. Would that have been because of the, you know, the scoring? I think you call the time out like 14 seconds left. I'm not sure. Yeah, it's probably because also Chris, the ball was maybe upset with him. I don't know exactly what happened, but you know, they they lost 77 to seven. So I'm sure some things were said. I'm trying to explain to my son last night.

19:36We're watching the game and my younger son is getting so excited as the games are of 49 nothing now. Late in the second quiz, they're going to score a hundred. It was a blast. They're definitely going to score a hundred and it was a pretty good crowd for a Thursday night against fam. I was pretty like I think we sold north of 45,000 seats. Yeah, it was like it was vibing. That was that was so much fun last night. Every play was just a touch. It looked like it was a good crowd for fam you and good. Like the team, the school deserves a great crowd. Tony just mentioned you could not look away. Something crazy was happening. Something incredibly dominant and flashy was going to happen every snap. I was watching the pregame show for the Netflix game and I was also watching the Cain's game on my laptop. And every time I would look up and look back, I'd see somebody running completely but naked wide open down the field and I'm like, what happened? I had to reverse. Okay, oh, Mark Fletcher went for 75 minutes. Okay, cool. Men's is really good. Obviously when you go into those games, keys to the game, stay healthy. Yeah. I think look, we entered that game. Now it's out there. If your Lucas is also dealing with an injury, so Miami's down their top two corners.

20:38They pushed Bryce Fitzgerald to the outside. I thought he did well. The guy that I really wanted to see play more because of that was done again. Because done again has been incredible at practice. At camp, he was one of the best players on the field. And you're like, who the hell is this guy? And he showed it. He was all over the field. Last. And another guy that flashed a ton at practice was JB Mallory, who, you know, my buddy, my buddy D. Money is compared to privately whispering like this guy's a lot like Frank Gore. And I think you can make an argument right now. JB Mallory might be the best running back on the team. And that's like one of the deepest running back rooms. And in Lyle, he's bound to be back soon. So that Pringle with that run that Pringle had Luke, Luke, Nickl was dropping. Well, I think you call them Nichols with him, but the catch that's baffered, made like all these young guys flashing. Are you mad that white 40 was stripped of the football and that led to fam use defensive score? I am. I am. I will soon learn his name. White 40. White 40. Yeah. You say keys to the game, Mike, obviously going against Florida and M. And by the way,

21:41I texted Mike. I noticed the point spread on it 59 and a half. I mean, the only one is point spread, right? I love the hook 59. You know what? 59 and a half. That's the sweet spot. They covered it either way, spoiler alert. To Mike's point about like keys to the game, don't get injured. It feels to me almost literally like that's the key to every game between now and the start of the tournament, right? I mean, Notre Dame is the one game where the Cain's might lose. And I don't see with the possible exception of a visit from the pit panthers from the no rat poison. I am. I am. I am. I am. I am. I am. I am. I am. I am. I am. I am. I am. I am. I am. I am. I am. I am. I am. I am. And we'll see how they look this weekend. They look great last weekend.

22:42I think pit play this weekend. I play your UCF nights there. Jeremy. It's dry. Look, if the keys to the game are to stay healthy, Miami is not achieved that. They are down arguably two first round draft picks at corner. OJ Frederic was dynamite in camp and Xavier Lucas is really, really good. So they're I do think Wednesday next week, Wake Forest Friday night spooky ACC game. They can move the ball around the field. So they're going to get tested way more. What did you get weird? Yeah. What did you make of the Kachuk brothers, Matthew and Brady, they sounded the siren to start the game last night. Brady. Brady was sounding the siren and math. This math you could chuck loves the hurricanes. He does. You could tell he loves going to university, Miami, hurricane football games. Brady rang the siren and Matthew was there and he's throwing up the U and cheering him on. Look at these two.

And I'll tell you what else. Brady is a lot bigger than Matthew. Right? That stood out to me yesterday. He's a lot. He's going to. He's going to. He's going to hurt some people. He even said it on the interview they did on ESPN. Where he was. What was happening? I did. I did. I'll have to get half the bill in your mouth right now. Enjoy. I don't need to talk about the games. That was food in your mouth. You know, you have to emis. Yeah, charge on. So let's hear a little bit though from the Kachak brothers. They ESPN caught up with them during the game. They gave up a lot to get you here. I'm a bro, man. What's it like? I mean, it's been incredible. I'm just to be able to do it with the group so far. So excited for the season, but very happy to be here. It's been unbelievable experience so far. What was it like? Go ahead and cranking that siren up. Yeah, well, Brady did all the work. They're already in the playoffs. The Dolphins are the other hands are picked by many a person who are in the playoffs. They're gonna smash the Dolphins in the playoffs. They're gonna smash the Dolphins in the playoffs. They're gonna smash the Dolphins in the playoffs. They are picked by many a person to finish last win three, maybe four games a season, and you wonder when's the last time? There was a bigger disparity.

28:52Now it has to be from college to pro, not pro to college, because pro to college would probably be easier to find. You know, you got a pro team, small collegiate school, whatever. But where the college team is so dominant and great and the pro team is so terrible. Like Alabama football all those years. All right, there's no pro team, you know what I'm saying? And even Ohio State and the Cleveland Browns, those aren't the same city. Like they're like a couple hours away from each other. So it's not the same thing. What, can you think of a bigger disparity where the collegiate team is so great and the pro team is so terrible? Off the top of my head, I think of like Georgia. And I think, well, Georgia, 1980, that real good team. Oh, the Atlanta Falcons, real good at the same time. When the Rams are good in the 70s, so too, as UCLA and USC, when the Steelers dynasty is happening in the 70s, Pitt is a top 10 team perennially. It's weird in fact that it seems like the college program,
