That felt like a bizarro game. We thought the team would lean in to turn over margin explosives, deal dominance and instead we won with great o-line play and long methodical drives.

You know last week we talked about this on the board where there's the big debate about whether or not you take out that big run against Texas State if you take that run out then it shows poor effectiveness down and down effectiveness and that's that's the importance of taking out that big run a lot of fans will I will the big run counts sure it counts but they would not have beaten Ohio State with that same run game with that big run and then a lot of less effective runs they were able to drip drip drip the run game and part of that was because Ohio State reacted to having its own lead. 5:10this team's strengths maybe quite a bit different than expected. One thing I'm kicking around on my head is you know after the first well first of all all August camp we heard that the run game was going well and the defense the run defense was going well there was a little give and take there and then that first game we're kind of looking around going man these guys might be maybe they looked okay at times because they're equally average. Now I think they are fairly equal but they're above average I think that's what we're learning at least as far as the run game and the run defense but obviously the offensive line and the tight ends blocking is better than what we expected now we heard good things about pass pro we expected that just based on the the makeup of the players and we heard good things about the the tight ends but we didn't know it was it would be this good that they were this effective they have set a very high floor for the the offense and you know as they get as they lean into it more and the you know archmaning gets on a better connection with his water severs and they cut down on the mistakes we're going to start seeing that explosiveness become a hallmark of this team we haven't quite seen the playmaking was the

10:16when it's early in the season to see what themes carry over into the season the defense did knock out a whole lot of balls and they you know they they created some some interceptions not a 10 interceptions but definitely some but they were punching the ball out and we're seeing the ball get loose on the on the ground getting punched out and that that's something they have to clean up asap because they really should have lost that game just over fumbles yeah without a doubt and given our lack of success on outside zone for only two games do you think that makes o u a and m games more challenging because that's the scheme that has actually been there a keelies heel against us that's a good question that question happened about probably 12 hours after i was laying in bed thinking about it myself uh i was wondering hey where's the outside zone because i love that scheme so much i feel like it opens up so much in the in the play action game uh and we haven't quite seen it yet i think they're just i you know i don't know if it's just that they're finding more success running downhill so they don't want to change it up certainly you don't want to start tinkering against Ohio state i think part of it is that we are in a smaller sample size um maybe some of it is goosby hasn't

11:18been a hundred percent uh which obviously he's going to be a staple there i want to see it a little bit more because in august they were running it quite a bit to great effect um not great effect but good effect type of effect you would think would be great effect against you to expect uh it's so it's you know small sample size but also hey man we know that his preference is to run downhill vertical run game vertical pass game uh and they were able to run the vertical run game against Ohio much too much to our surprise so they're in a good spot there uh but i do want to see Ohio state build up because i know they have i know they have a full lot in the playbook uh based off of outside zone working yeah i think Ian and his run breakdown we talked about this more than we only ran it like twice for Ohio state oh yeah it's a lot again a small sample size some of these guys aren't playing because small rotations some of that they didn't feel the need to they didn't want to mess with rotations and bring in extra players um i think the same thing went with with what schemes were working regarding arch is he just what he is at this point aka a damn good college quarterback or is there hope that he can learn to see the field more clearly and work through his
