Then we give our score predictions at the end.

It sounded like Bugs Bunny. Go down there. Join us. We would love to see. All right, Justin, you're off the bat recruiting. What first off, we had a pretty big game last week. So did the recruits enjoy that? Yes, absolutely. Biggest thing, you know, before last weekend, a lot of people weren't really wanting to talk recruiting or dig into it. This past week, they're loving it. There's some momentum in Austin right now. And when you win the way you did, the way they did against Ohio State and the fashion they did in front of the kids that they did, it's going to make an impact in recruiting. It's going to have one of those long lasting experience top deals. Two major takes coming out of there was Bryson Wright and David Dotson. Bryson writes number one player in the country. He's number one, number one receiver, six three and a half, about 205. He liked Texas already. You know, everyone in the country likes his kid.

3:09But man, Texas did something good to this kid. Like they absolutely checked all the boxes. His family loved it. Chris Jackson was able to really connect with him. And he felt like there's a real good connection there with that group. And so Bryson Wright, the number one player, is now looking very heavily towards Texas. If he were to sign tomorrow, I'd probably say Texas. It was that impactful. And then on the defensive side, I'd probably give David Dotson the nod as one of, having one of the best trips. That's the man child out of Tascacita down at Umbul, six foot six, 245 pounds. I mean, I thought he might be a parent when he was walking up. Like this kid is just not a child. He's huge. And I think Texas did a tremendous job there. Kyle Coates is running a great program down in Tascacita. And they've already got Jason Johnson in with the class of 2027. His teammate. And so I think they're trending really well right there. We put in an RPM this week for Dotson and we feel good there. This weekend's not a big recruiting weekend, but there's still some guys you kind of want to know.

4:09You know, names you want to have on the back of your tongue. You've got Ryder Flugian. That's the number one athlete in the country. He's got a Bernie champion, six, five, about 200 pounds. Can do a little bit of everything. His position is still yet to be determined. Ryder Flugian's. He's one of the top, one of the top wide receivers. And he's got a Bernie champion. That's another kid that's just a fantastic athlete for 2029. And I'm with the longhorn legacy at you. Cash Mark. The linebacker from the Woodlands. Six one about 210 to 15. He's got a 4-0 shuttle. He's going to be on campus as well for his first visit. And so, hey, recruiting matters. And we've had a lot of fun inside Texas this week with all the recruiting momentum and stuff. So come see us. Come check us out. Let us earn your dollar. Thank you, Justin, for your report. Evan, what happened at the press conference is what its sarcophagus to say this week. Yeah. I think firstly coming off Ohio State. A lot of gratification for what he's done in the off season, what he's built with this team. I'm talking about emphasizing what you're converting with what you emphasize on the field.

5:12I mean, they emphasize all off season being able to run the ball, being a brilliant physical upfront. You go and come back 21 points by being able to run the ball and winning at the goal line. And so he said, yeah, it was gratifying to be able to get in the end zone from the goal line formation. We talked a lot about this week about that Jordan Coleman heavy package and the team's ability to go and be to Ohio State in a way that many probably didn't expect them to be able to if you ask in the off season or at any point last year with what was going on with the offensive line. But just a few housekeeping things. Code defense coordinator linebacker coach, Johnny and Asim was charged with a misdemeanor DWI on, I believe Wednesday night. So that's the link to keep an eye on for this weekend. New new fill in up linebacker coach, Eric Cox, a really experienced guy there that we've been reporting on. That also comes with some injury news. Derek Cooper sounds like he's going to be good to go for Saturday, expect him to play Nick Townsend. Sar said it probably won't be able to play. It sounds like he's not going to be out there on Saturday. We'll see how he looks going into Tennessee. But you know, as for a later in the week, talking about the team and what's going on in the program.

6:12Yeah, there's definitely this feeling from Sarc that you know, they want to come and prove that there's no, you know, drought that comes after a win like this. And they're not just taking a pretty monumentous win for the program and coming out sluggish against a team like you to say like you have to prove your worth a little bit when you've gotten that never won ranking. So that was a clear message from Sarc to the media. And it seems like to the team that we're not going to come out against UTSA sluggish. That's not going to be acceptable for the team. So Sarc Manning's doesn't really good job of handling kind of the outside noise and the pressure that's been put on him throughout this week. And that he that's kind of been a big positive for Manning is this maturity kind of moving forward from from all that's gone on. So Texas is a team that with all that's gone on since the end of that football game could use just a game that they come out fast and they come out strong and I think Sarc really knows that. So a lot of praise for what Manning's done since then a lot of praise for his team after the Ohio State game. Go line package like I said was slanted that got brought up to Hollywood Smothers and and Relic Brown's toughness throughout the game.

7:12A lot of individual play praise throughout the week. So yeah, just a team that seems motivated to go and kind of prove their worth for that number one ranking and not start off on a bad foot against UTSA. Thank you, sir. Ian, let's do some analysis, man. You are going to break down the Texas offense. What are the keys to get the dub versus the row runner defense? There's always a chance in a game like this that the other teams going to come out and some really gimmicky defense to throw you off. To try to keep the score close or whatever. For Texas a lot of times it's teams coming out like in a three high safety defense with a lot of games and stunts up front like you tested last year. To try and catch them off guard, take away the deep passes that could in the game early. But I think whether UTSA does that or not or if they play their normal pretty aggressive runstopping style. There's going to be opportunities to land shots in this game.

8:12And if arch can connect on those with Wingo or Coleman or whomever, then they can end it early. We do want to see continued execution in the run game. Smothers, brown, Cooper, any of these guys could also make it a quick night with some big long explosive runs. But I really want to see arch in the passing game take advantage of the shot opportunities when they're there that hasn't totally happened yet this season. Obviously they missed some very notable ones against Ohio State. And you hit those and we all feel good and the night is over early. And maybe we can get a little bit of an eye on the LSU Ole Miss matchup, right? It's the second time you brought that up this week. I feel better that this game is in prime time. Yeah, UTS run defense is really, really bad. So you could run it, but I agree with you and let's get some reps for future opponents to in the past. All right, before we get to Paul, let's hear a quick word from Andre.

Paul Wadlington, what does the Texas defense need to do to get your blessing against the UTSA offense? Well, what I can't wait to read is Ian's five thoughts after the game where it will be clear he did not watch the game at all. It's all going to be about shouldered outchambles. I just going to look at the box score like good game Derek Cooper. So one thing that you need to know is that these are not the Frank Harris era road runners.

10:17UTSA is taking a step back. It's not anything Jeff trailer is done wrong. That's the nature of being a good G6 program now. You're going to get looted. They had 16 returning starters on their team before the portal opened. After the portal was done, they had eight returning starters and they lost eight of their best 12 or 13 players on the team. Several of those players you'll see on Saturday playing for a and M and Houston and a bunch of other teams. So it's a tough deal for for Mr. trailer. I think we all pull from and have a soft spot in our hearts for him. He has to decide how long he wants to be a P4 farm team. So that's that's the broad context. Specifically on their offense, helpful tool for UTSA. If you see the number zero one or two on a player, that player is considered one of the best players on their team. They were voted to wear those numbers by the rest of the team. And so it's a very useful tool. Anytime you see a zero one or two, you know, that's one of their better guys. Zero for them is ride receiver David Amador. He's kind of a possession receiver. He's got just enough twitch that if you kind of overplay the possession part, he can run a double move on you.

11:19Number one is Will Henderson. He is going to be the fastest player on the field on Saturday. Yes, I know Ryan Nibblet's fast Ryan wing goes fast. Will Henderson would dust them not only in pads, but shorts. So Will is a pretty slightly built running backs. They have to limit his carries, but they're going to constantly try to scheme him up in space to try to drop a big run. They know they're not going to get methodical drives. They're trying to drop a 60 yard Will Henderson run or get him on a screen or maybe isolate him with juice prior in space. Who knows. That's their best hope for a big play. And then number two is Mr. Macown. He's been there now for three years. He is going to pass the 8,000 career passing yard mark with 50 yards in Austin. If we hold him to 49 yards, I think we might win this game and he won't reach the 8,000, but I think he might go over that. So he's a very veteran quarterback. He should be the quarterback at a probably a P4 school right now if off things were normal, but they're not normal because own Macown has deprelations with the trailer family and that whole.

12:22He's Texas Empire of which Justin acclimated me with long ago. And I appreciate him for that. It's giving me great insight into trailer in that program, but he's a good player. He's a steady veteran. They have not been able to get the ball down the field. Why? Because they can't pass protect their tackles are bad. Their O line is taking a step back. They've lost their two starting tight ends. One will be starting for a nm, one for Houston. They don't have that infrastructure anymore. So once the ball hits his hands, he's trying to throw it. They don't have much time to sit in the pocket. So game thread man. If we don't have three sacks or five sacks on the first half, it's probably because he's getting the ball out in about a second and a half. And there's really not a physical chance to get a sack. So look for that and look for how well must champ addresses that in terms of coverage. Does he want to throttle that down or does he just want to make sure they have no explosives and just kind of keep a top end. And then basically say you're not going to drive 10 plays ADRs on us. We don't care if you hit a couple of things and dunks. That'll be an interesting thing to observe. And then frankly, must champs going to have an opportunity for some experimentation.

13:28Not only with player personnel, but also schemes. And that's what we need to be doing with this defense. We need to figure out who we can go to war with because the SEC schedule is coming soon. Thank you Paul Eric. What's the team and tell this week man? Yeah, it was an easy week with a team headline stuff. Normally, especially going up against UTSA and after a big game. I know what are we going to write about, but it kind of just fell on our lap this week. Number one is addressing distractions. They had a so so practice on Monday. That's their brief kind of walk through sort of correct. Make your corrections from the previous day. And the urgency wasn't up to par. So arch and hero canoe. You know, called the team together and they talked about it. So we got to get more urgent. That was that meeting was held Tuesday. So that was sort of after the Monday hub of. And that's, you know, that's the name of the game this week is distractions getting getting over the human psyche of a big win. You know, you got to you got to move past that, but also the other distractions away from the field that took place this week. They just want to stay focused and you know, sources say they're really good at putting everything behind them on the practice field.

14:32And I feel like there's a really good chance for the team to galvanize around a couple of people that they think have been mischaracterized in arch and Steve Sarkisian this week. It's always important to gather around your teammates. Another issue is the Johnny and answer situation. You got Garrett Cox filling in for him. A lot of trust. The most champ has a ton of trust in Cox. They've been together before Georgia. He was the guy that the must have had to have with them to help teach the other to coach the other coaches up on the playbook. You know, the playbook as well as much champ does. He's kind of, you know, Steve Sarkisian's Michael Montet for that side of the ball. So you kind of wonder if this is an audition. You know, you don't know. We'll see what happens with Nancy. And then another thing is just, you know, they want to play a lot of young guys, but I also know they want to play well and you know, prove that they'll have state fourth quarter was who they really are. I think Sarkis going really hard after a fast start. There's some injuries to overcome. Nothing too serious. Derek Cooper should be back this week. Nick Townsend is going to be probably questionable. They have to start putting out their injury reports for SEC games.

15:33Ask Lane Kiffin about the importance of that. And you'll see, you'll probably see Nick Townsend as questionable for next week, which me. I think there's a good chance he plays. He's got the same thing as Goosby. Overall, it's a bit banged up team. They're going to hide some of that with development, taking some starters off the field. I think, but again, game context is going to matter because they are going to do and everything they can to get a convincing win. A lot of talk about like let downs. I'm not really interested in that as long as they execute. I'm finally getting depth in something in the low 40s. I'm comfortable with get sharper on defense as well. We're having some some issues there. So I want to see the defense more than the offense this week actually for me. Justin Wells your score and why Texas 56 UTSA seven. I think Texas scores a lot of points. I think the offense is going to look kind of similar what it did against Texas state. I think they're going to be able to open it up a little bit more on the guys.

17:36And so I like the horns 56 to seven and I like the 98%. There you go. Thank you. And then Evan, what's he thinking, man? Yeah, a little lower scoring 42 to nine for me. I don't see it's quite so much as a let down as much as Texas is going to get a lot of guys involved. And so it might not be the 18 out there the entire game. And that will cause a few stops here there for UTSA. But I think the long horns keep them out of the end zone. And maybe an early three for UTSA but majority of this game Texas can be up 20 30 points and then maybe once they're planning it's kind of the sea team for the long horns at three deep. They get a few field goals. But yeah, I think Texas comfortably wins this game. Yeah. I had it Texas 58 to nine. And I think it's like possibly UTSA sustains a few drives, especially early with just short passing, but they're unable to punch it in. And eventually they get fun bowls and interceptions that get the game out of hand. And, and then I'm.

18:37I think that arch will hit some deep shots or. They're running back. So break off some runs. And then I think that's just as normally people speak, you know, it's just a term. It's just a term. Paul, what is your score prediction? Texas 48 UTSA 10. That will be the score. Okay. The concern is that we're not going to score touchdown. We're going to have 14 field goals and three safeties. But still have a commanding one. Good spedic game. Big, big spedic game. Eric, your thoughts. I'll take the three safeties. So we see a little more havoc on the defense. I've got it 44 or 10. Some of that's due to load management. I don't really care about the scoreboard. I do want them to come out and play well. Let's see a B plus game. They just beat Ohio State with a C effort. They need to improve that week to week to get through this gauntlet. Protect the ball. That's a big issue. I'll be watching for that. Protect the ball. Have it plays. Keep the penalties to a minimum like they have been. Let's create that muscle memory of just playing discipline.

19:38Everything else else will take care of it. But I think we're going to see a lot of the roster that's going to keep the cap on the points. But I do think arch is going to play well. And I do think we're going to see them. I think I'm going to serve themselves in the run game with this new physical identity that they're trying to trying to make permanent. And they'll play well to start. But the score stays a little bit low due to load management. Alright, everyone is over that 30 and a half point favorite for Texas.
