The Supreme Court is casting doubt on President Donald Trump's restrictions on birthright citizenship and a consequential case that was magnified by Trump's unparalleled presence in the courtroom. Prime Minister Kier Starmer says the UK will host an international diplomatic conference this week on ways to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. Starmer says 35 countries have signed a statement committing to work together, unrestoring maritime security to the key oil transport route. On a briefing EU Energy Commissioner Dan Gorgensen says extra costs are very likely given that much of the energy infrastructure has been ruined by the war. It is therefore extremely important that we take action in unity and in close coordination and that we avoid fragmented national responses and disruptive signals to the markets.
