0:00I'm Marcela Sanchez with an AP News Minute. Iran's top diplomat was heading today to Pakistan, which is again trying to get to Iran and Washington together for more ceasefire talks. The White House is not saying whether a U.S. delegation would also go to Islamabad. Though President Trump this week did indefinitely extend the ceasefire to give diplomacy more time. That has not lowered tensions in the state of Hormuz, through which a fifth of the world's oil and natural gas transits, and where Iran has a stranglehold. The U.S. is still blocking Iranian ports and vessels. The blockade is tightening by the hour. We are in control. Nothing in. Nothing out. Before Pentagon Chief Peter Hegseth spoke, President Trump issued a 90-day extension to the Jones Act waiver, making it easier for non-American vessels to transport oil and natural gas to the U.S. And I'm Marcela Sanchez. Support comes from wise.
