0:00I'm Ben Thomas with NEP News Minute. Russia hammered civilian areas across Ukraine Thursday, firing nearly 700 drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 16 people. Lives lost in Odessa, Kiev, in Nipro. On a trip to the Netherlands, President Vladimir Zelensky appealed for more air defense support. Ordinary people, children, civilians, killed by Russian madness. Karen Chama's report it was the worst aerial attack in weeks. In Kiev, AP footage showed cars on fire and damaged and burnt out buildings after Russia struck the capital with drones and ballistic missiles. 20-year-old Heurich Dorochenko walked through his destroyed apartment, his feet quenching on glass and metal shrapnel, as he came to collect his pet rabbit, Kosh. At least four people were killed in Kiev, including a 12-year-old. I'm Karen and I'm Ben Thomas.
