0:00I'm Ed Donahue with an AP News Minute. Pope Leo says President Trump's threat to destroy Iran is truly unacceptable. The president said a whole civilization will die tonight if Iran fails to meet his latest deadline to strike a deal. Amir Sayed, Aravani, is Iran's UN ambassador. The U.S. officials have made threats to destruction of infrastructure in this principle to the survival of the civilian population, such threats, including the U.S. President's call for widespread destruction of essential civilian infrastructure, constitute incitement to war crimes and potentially genocide and must be explicitly condemned on the international law. Mike Waltz is the U.S. ambassador. A diplomacy cannot succeed where defiance, delay, and escalation remain Tehran's only response. The U.S. deadline is hours away. I'm Ed Donahue.
