President Trump's White House ballroom is expected to win approval from the National Capitol Planning Commission today, just days after a federal judge ordered a halt to construction. The Commission, which approves or denies construction on federal property in the Washington region, is going ahead with the vote because the Commission spokesperson says Tuesday's order by U.S. District Judge Richard Leon to halt construction does not affect the planning process. The Commission will also consider some changes to the 90,000-square-foot ballroom edition. The ballroom is now estimated to cost $400 million. Donna Warder, Washington.
