0:00I'm Ben Thomas with the NAP News Minute as the US-Israel continued to bomb Iran and it fires at targets across the Gulf region. Israel's moved into Lebanon, going after Iran-backed Hezbollah militants. Isabel Debray reports from Beirut. I'm here at the Beirut Waterfront, usually known for its upscale hotels, its yacht club, its nightlife venues, but actually right now, we've had over 1 million displaced people pour from the south of Lebanon, from the east of Lebanon, from the southern suburbs of Beirut, into this capital city, which is already quite small and crowded. The government-run shelters are filling up fast, and so they've been trying to find open spaces, setting up tents along the waterfront, sleeping in the cars they drove to get here. Many people are just sleeping in parks, basically whatever they can find, and many people are coming, fleeing bombardment, bringing almost nothing with them. So their needs are increasing every day, and people I talk to tell me it's a growing humanitarian crisis. The AAPs isabel Debray reporting from Beirut, and I'm Ben Thomas.
