I'm Ed Donahue with an AP News Minute. President Trump says he will increase the tariffs charged on cars and trucks from the European Union next week to 25 percent. The president spoke about tariffs yesterday at the White House. If they build here, they don't have to pay tariffs. We have Germany is giving a lot of companies coming in from Germany, from Japan. Japan just announced $10 billion more plants going to be built between Toyota and Honda and all the different companies that are boring into our country. The president said in a social media post, the EU is not complying with the US fully agreed to trade deal. He did not give specifics. President Trump and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen agreed to the trade deal last July. It set a 15 percent tariff on most goods.
