I'm Ed Donahue with an AP News Minute. Iran says it has submitted another proposal to end the standoff with the U.S. So they want to make a deal, but I'm not satisfied with it, so we'll see what happens. The two countries are in a standoff over the Strait of Hormuz, critical for global oil and gas trade. President Trump spoke to reporters outside the White House. They've made strides, but I'm not sure if they ever get there. It's tremendous to score this, tremendous to have a tremendous problem getting along with each other in Iran. The leadership is very disjointed. The President also said the war has been terminated before a 60-day deadline to seek formal approval from Congress. We're always in touch with Congress, but nobody's ever saw it before, nobody's ever asked for it before. It's never been used before. Why should we be different? That deadline is today.
