Anchorage Fire: Multi-Family Blaze, Rescuues, & Red Cross Aid

The call came in just before 3pm, as a structure fire, with possible people trapped inside, near Mountain View Drive and North Lane Street. Crews quickly call for a second alarm to bring in more help. The fires spread fast enough that witnesses saw flames shooting out. Firefighters were tired and had it under control by about 4pm. No official word yet on how bad the damage was. A woman and her dog needed help right there at the scene, according to people nearby. Officials think at least one resident might have gone to the hospital, but that's still unconfirmed. The American Red Cross stepped in right away to aid folks forced out of their homes. They're handing out food, water, and blankets to meet immediate needs. Details on what started the fire are not out yet, and the story is still developing as investigators dig in.
