Allow Him To Carrt You

Mark 14:41. *And He said unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest.* Jesus spoke these words in the Garden of Gethsemane after returning from prayer. He had asked his disciples to watch with him as he faced the cross, but they couldn't stay awake. Their strength, their natural strength, was gone. When Jesus said, "Sleep on now," he wasn't dismissing them. He was revealing to them something deeper. He was showing them that the journey ahead could not be finished in human effort. That night had exposed their inability to stand in their own strength. Now Jesus was opening the door to where real strength is found. There does remain a rest for the people of God. This rest comes when we cease from our own works and we trust in the strength of God. God invites us into the same rest today. Stop striving to carry what only Christ can sustain and allow him to carry you now. It's time to pray.
