A Point Lost Or Gained Against Nashville? | What Would You Pay Perfetti?

About this episode

There are plenty of ways to look at Tuesday night’s loss to the Nashville Predators. On one hand, it’s a clear step back for the Winnipeg Jets in their playoff push. On the other -- given how it unfolded -- was it a point gained or a point lost in the 4-3 shootout defeat at Canada Life Centre? Cam and Jim want to hear from you: how do you see it? What’s your overall grade for the Jets’ 5-2-1 record during this eight-game homestand? Plus, Cole Perfetti is heating up, with five goals and 11 points in his last 14 games. Is this the real Perfetti? And with the winger set to become a pending RFA, would you re-sign him or consider a trade? If you’re signing him, are you going short-, medium-, or long-term? We get things going at 12.06 Central Time, going to listen live where we talk everything to do with the Winnipeg Jets. There are plenty of ways to look at Tuesday night's loss to the National Predators. On one hand, it's a clear step back for the Jets and their playoff push. On the other, given how things unfolded, was it a point gained or a point lost in the 4-3 shootout defeat at Canada Life Center? Jim and I want to hear from you, how do you see it? This year also, your overall grade on the Jets 5, 2, and 1 record during their 8-game homestand. Plus, Cole Perfetti is heating up. Five goals, 11 points in his last 14 games. Is this the real Perfetti? And with the Winger set to become a pending RFA, would you resign him or consider a trade? If you're signing him, are you going short, medium, or long-term? And what do you think his value is? All that and more in today's edition of Jetset Noon. Yeah, it's tough for him. It's not really an adjustment for us, but it's a hard job for him. He's got to skate a lot more, and you got guys yelling at you all the time, so I kind

of feel for him. I thought you did a good job. I mean, I don't know. If you ask the other team, maybe they don't think so. So I don't know. I'm just curious. No, no. I didn't see a goal 11 referee. Yeah, there's not really an adjustment for us, just, I don't know, maybe trying to be nicer to the guy. Because maybe that thought maybe we'd be able to get away with more. Yeah, maybe, I don't know. But if you ask the other team, maybe something different, we had four power plays, so I don't know. Gave a learning. His post game is, should I, like, I was thinking about it, should I, like, something that has to do with the game? Well, there was only one referee, because the other one couldn't get into town. So do I talk about, you know, Jonathan Taves, you know, is that his biggest moment? Kyle Conner about how they move forward, four points out, Scott or Neil, how is that how they want to look? And I'm like, now I'll start with Larry talking about the one ref, I don't know, maybe, maybe nicer. I kind of felt bad for. Well, that's what I was talking about, right? I remember covering a guy in the Western hockey league who went on to play in win Stanley Cups in the national hockey league.

And in junior, I remember like he, he ran into the ref for the ref fell down from a puck along the boards. And he, you could hear him in the crowd in the, in the Western hockey game, just lambacing him. Get out of the way, you fat. And so after like the next day of practice, I'm like, hey, I heard you, do you have a problem with that ref? Or like I didn't get what was he goes, no, not at all. It's a good guy. Good ref. I go, what, what was the rage about? And he's like, oh, he said, that's the only time you can yell at a ref. And I'm like, what? And he's like, if a ref ever gets in the way or bumps into you or falls down, that's the one time you can light them up. Yeah. So it goes, I just took advantage of the time. I'm like, so you don't like the guy goes, no, I think he's a great ref. I like him a lot. But he just like, so he was going along the boards and trying to make a movement. They ran into him and the ref locked down. So then he skated by his like, get out of the way, you fat. Just because that's the only time you can yell at a ref. They're about getting and sort of the dynamic between the referees and players in hockey

and professional hockey in that world. The ref knows that too. He knows that he's going to get cheese. He like he totally accepts. And the ref is actually still in the NHL. And I know him. And I remember asking him about that when I ran into him at a mousse game here years later, after a game and he was like, hey, how you doing? I'm like, good, good. I asked him about that. I was like, remember when Dan and I go, oh, yeah, it was kids like they just, it's the one time they know that I'm, it's my fault. So I'm not going to give him 10. Yeah. Well, Jim, my last nights for three shootout laws to the national predators wrapping up the homestand. I want to get your overall grade on the homestand in just a second here. Another clear missed opportunity. So I don't want to sort of paint it as anything other than that because that's what it was. I don't want to dance around that. The result yesterday was disappointing. Anna stepped backwards in their playoff push, 15 games left, having said all that. I don't want to just brush that off and ignore it because I do believe that.

On the other hand, given how things unfolded and the way that they played yesterday, do you view it as a point gained or a point lost to the Preds? Well, it's a point gained because they're the ones who scored the last minute goal or just over a minute when Jonathan Taves and I weren't the one who gave it up. They're not the ones who blew the lead late in the third period. So it's a point gained. You found a way to get a point by going over time. The disappointing part is things went the way we said they could go yesterday with Edmonton Beading San Jose, Tampa Bay taking care of Seattle, you could have gained two points and you could have passed Nashville. The disappointing part of the point lost is nothing was decided between you and Nashville. Everything stayed the same and now you have one less game to play. But look, anytime they moved up a point in the standings, they didn't do anything against Nashville which is really disappointing and it didn't gain another point which is disappointing. But they gained a point and instead of being five out, they're four out now.

So I think you have to look at it that way. But the way they played Cam is and they deserved more. But how many times have they deserved less and like John Ripple, the long time coach and great analyst we had set in the post game and he goes, Kelly, you know how I feel the game evens itself out and he said, so did the Jets deserve an extra point this weekend, most likely. Or last night, but on the weekend they deserve all four points, especially against St. Louis, probably not. Yeah. So John is a long time coach and it was a game used to play it in and out, really good an analyst and he has always felt the way the game will even itself out eventually and that's probably what happened last night. They probably didn't deserve all four points they got on the weekend, but they got them. And then last night they deserved both points and they only got one. But any time you're gaining points and doing something in the standings, although not as good as it could have been, it's gained in my mind at this point. So you still got to go through Seattle. You still have to get over San Jose.

You still have to get over Los Angeles and now you still have to get over the Nashville Predator. Like that doesn't change. You still have five teams that you need to pass. Yeah. And that's the disappointing part, right? Because what a kind of should I mean, where would they be if they could have played better against Anaheim and gotten a point? Yeah. And if they beat the Rangers, which they got to play again, if they want to want those two games, they'd be tied for a playoff spot right now. They would be camp. Yeah. What are those two games off the Olympic break in California that they went to overtime both times. If they get a bounce in one of those games, another point, they would be in a playoff spot right now. There's four games where I'm not saying what it could have should and I'm not, you know, it is what it is. I'm not wishing and hoping this. I'm just saying, if you look at how they've played since the Olympic break, there is a decent chance that they have four more points than they do. Now it didn't happen that way and that's the plight they're in. And that's why when people ask us, why are we doom and gloom right now? Because that's how hard it is. They're not getting that extra point.

They're playing extremely well and losing in a shootout. That's how tough it is to climb over four teams and gain some ground. That's the issue. That's the issue is the teams that are still separating them. Yeah. They haven't been able to gain any ground here, right? And the more teams that are above them, the less that they control about what about their chances at the playoffs, right? So if they were tied for a playoff spot right now, let's live in a world where they did get two points against Anaheim and against the Rangers and they're tied for that spot. They're over a couple teams right now. They have more control over their own destiny. Right now they still need the predators to lose. They still need the Kings to lose. They still need San Jose to lose. They still need Seattle to lose for them to be able to jump those spots. And that's sort of, that's what you lament, you know, you had the opportunity to, you know, those easy teams are, I don't want to say easier, but the easier teams that they've been able to jump over since coming back from the break, they just haven't been able to make that ground, right? And so it's, they've gotten tighter.

That's right. It's gotten tighter, but they still haven't been able to separate themselves. And I, I think the predators, this will seem weird, are a better team than what they, like they've come around a bit this year, but they're still not that or whatever. But Boston is, and so you can play as good as you did last night, Thursday night in Boston. And it'll be even tougher because Boston, I think, is a better and playing better hockey. The other thing I wanted to quickly add, when we talked about San Jose, watch a little bit of that game after the Jets game last night is to your point of Kyle Conner yesterday. For those of you who like to be angry online, I have something for you. Maclin Celebrini has played 136 games. He has 158 points. Conner McDavid, in his first 136 games, had 157 points. So it's confirmed. So you're saying that Maclin Celebrini is a better player than Conner McDavid? Well, who has more cops? No, I'm just kidding. But I'm just saying that that's a stat that going into last night's game. They mentioned on the broadcast that I was like, wow, like Celebrini and the same

games played compared to McDavid at this point has one more point than McDavid did at this point. And I think it's, I think it means it stands out even more, Cam, because I mean, the or those teams were, you know, in San Jose's not. I have another stat about Maclin Celebrini and I'll get to it before the show's on out. Or maybe we'll get it to it in the next segment here. I'll tee that out. But anyway, back to the Jets. Yeah. Look, I want to talk about the sharks, though, because the sharks, the Kraken, the Kings, the Predators, these guys cannot close one of those teams, Jim, at some point here, or the Jets, I'm going to include them in this list. One of them is going to have to take the ball here and roll with it because none of them have taken it. It's like they've grabbed the ball and they pass it off. It's there for the taking, but not one of those of these five teams has been able to just take control. If one of these teams, that's what that's what boats well for the Jets here. If one of these teams were seven and three in their last ten, I'd be like, watch out.

Yeah. But Seattle in their last ten or four and six. Yeah. That's what a chance here, man. That's crazy. Seattle's four and six LAs five, four and one, San Jose is five, three and two, Nashville's four, four and two, and the Jets are five, two and three. The Jets in their last ten games have the better record than Seattle, LA, San Jose and Nashville. So now you have to sustain it. That's right. Okay. We sustain not winning that many games. Yeah. So let's let's talk about this here then. What's your overall grade on the homestand? Five, two and one, I'll, I'll go first, I'll go first, I'll give it a B minus. Again. I was interrupted. I was interrupted. B minus. I'll give the Jets on the homestays. Yeah. Because it wasn't perfect. They left points on the table, which they desperately needed. So I can't give them a name. But they entered the homestand on March, second, ten points back and other four points back. So it has to be, it has to be a B as far as I'm concerned.

So I'm giving them a B plus. Yeah. And the reason it's not an A plus is they didn't go eight, no. The reason it's not an A is because they didn't beat teams. They should have beaten the New York Rangers in my opinion. Yeah. The Anaheim Games of 50-50 and then they, the reason it could be an A minus or an A is because they did beat two teams that they probably shouldn't have. So why I don't give it a C is because of the weekend, where they're able to scrap and claw wins against Colorado and saying those bad things. And so they go. That's why it's on the ceiling. And it goes from a B minus to me to a B plus because they found ways to win when they shouldn't have, which is, gets them a little bit of point. And then last night, it would have been an A minus for me if they would have finished that game and moved past Nashville. If they would have gone six and two and beat Colorado and Tampa Bay, I would deduct them from an A plus for the, for the New York Rangers and the Anaheim game and give them an A minus. But I don't. I give them a B plus because, because of the way last night's game finished. And this isn't through any other play.

Yeah. Just simply that extra point was there and they couldn't get it. So it's a B. I think the home stands a B plus for me. Let's squeeze in some text messages here. This one's from the Rob, the lack of production from guys like Nyquist and Lowry really shows in games like last night. It's happened to Lowry for goals, getting difficult to ignore the drop off, oh, and maybe Camry should have been in over the shoulder, over and over from the Rob. Well, I don't know. What do you think about that, Jim? There is, I'll tell you something right now, Connor Hellibut could have been a disaster last night and given up seven goals, all his fault. And he's going to play the next game. Do not start this Camry stuff with me again. He's the best player on the planet in his position. If he plays poorly, you don't pull the plug on that. You hope that he plays better because he's that good. When Connor Hellibut was injured and Camry was the starting netminder, what were people saying? Like just, just take your mind back to that. You don't have to go far. You do not have to go far back.

There's people amongst my circle saying, why aren't the jets going out and getting LeRan for us swat? Right? Just the idea of what that does to the room is, Hellibut stands on his head and has his arguably best game of the season, other than of the, of the NHL season, other than the gold medal game against Colorado. Camry comes in sensational, probably his best game of the season. What does that do to the room if you go, oh, we're rolling with Camry again. Bob says, the where and where would they be if we got some timely saves from our gold tender? That one from Bob. This, you know what, textures, you're being massively unfair. And I'll just say that. You are being massively unfair. I will say this. I didn't like the third goal. I didn't like it either. I didn't think it was a good goal. I didn't think it, it was a step, but I think Connor Hellibut should have saved me. I agree with that. Not was a soft one. But just like, I don't like a penalty here or I don't like a turnover or not getting to puck out of the zone, just because he's the gold tender doesn't mean you start somebody different. Brad Lambert, when he put one up the wall and it didn't get out and ended up in the

back of the net, doesn't not play the next game. This is desperate times you, you ice your best lineup and you hope they all play for the best understanding, like on the weekend, they're not all going to be at their best every single game during the stretch. Billy from St. James, disappointed with the O two, uh, uh, with the OT and shootout, Sarah's definitely outplayed Hellibut with more athletic saves. Sarah's was sensational. Sarah's did outplay. Sarah's was sensational. Sarah's did outplay. Hellibut. He did. He loves playing the jets and he usually plays great and athletic saves like Hellibut can make athletics saves, but that's not his game. You know what? Last night's game, if we're going to pick and choose, it was specialty teams, uh, Scots is a, I'll, I'll just read one more and then we'll take a break. Scots says the jets are running out of next time games. That's they are. Yeah. That's the problem. Scott. That's why it was yesterday was a disappointment. There's no dancing around it. We're able to scrap and claw the four points back from playoff spots. That's a playoff. But again, another missed opportunity and they can't give up those opportunities. Scott, good text. I entertain the comedy stuff on Friday at free for all Friday when I'll think about it,

but not right now it's, there's not a game left on the schedule that I'm not going with. Hellibut. Now, they're probably going to give comedy one, I get that, but I'm starting Conor Hellibut every single time. Two teams, one cup. The prime time stage is set for the TGL presented by SoFi finals Los Angeles Golf Club versus Tiger's Jupiter links. Keep up. Tune in Monday, March 23rd, 9 p.m. Eastern on ESPN 2 and Tuesday, March 24th, 7 p.m. Eastern on ESPN and on the ESPN app. Now, I mentioned some more McLean celebrity stats. The sharks fell to one, three and two yesterday with their loss to the oilers with celebrating not collecting a point. He won one game when he, when he's been held off the score sheet. So that's hard trophy, right? Yeah. Like, if you, I've been landing, you know, Kutraff has a hat, trick five points last night,

and he has, I think, 40 more points than anybody else on his roster. Yeah. I think it's, I think it's McDavid and Kutraff and Celibriini right now, but I'd give it to Kutra honestly. If it's, if it's my pick, um, is Celibriini off the table if they don't make the playoffs? No, I don't think so. Like, if he finishes over 100 points, I don't think so. Uh, offensively, you know, we had 70 to 80 shot attempts. Like, that was out there. Gold time. It was outstanding. So I mean, that second period, some we saw, some we didn't see, some we hit, we had a couple of crossbars and posts and miss the net a few times. You know, we had, we had tons of opportunities and, you know, Saros made some big stops. Scott Arneal. Now, that's what happened last night. You saw the same thing that I did. Scott, 204, 780, 68, 68, now that he's, to an end, just make sure that I see this game the way that he sees it. I think he's podcasting. Yeah. I think he gets on a treadmill or late at night.

Any listens to Jets at noon? He might. The lovely Leah Arneal is probably like, do you want to watch your movies? I'd love to. But I gotta hear Jets at noon. Scott, if you're listening, you're wasting your time listening to watch the movie. Please. Watch the little downtime. Please. Don't listen to us. The texture says, we're getting a culprit fitting just a second, but this texture says, can you guys be negative for once on the Jets? And my, my question to that is, what would you like us to say? Open up the segment. And I said, this has been a, it was a disappointing game yesterday, a clear missed opportunity. It's not a positive thing that I said. Here's the thing about, I've heard this the last two weeks. You guys never are negative or anything. Yeah. I said yesterday, we're not honest. I'm too honest. I should be less honest. In their last 25 games, the Jets are 13, six and six. In their last 25 games, the Jets are 13, six and six. They just went five, two and one in their home stand. And last I played arguably one of their best, I would say top five games of the season.

Yeah. So you might have wanted to tune in during the 11 game losing street prior to Christmas. We were pretty negative around that. There's nothing to be positive about. But speaking about, we're just being honest, they played great last night. And we spoke about the disappointment of not getting that other point. That's the, the situation they're in. Yeah. Because of how poorly they played the reason, the reason this season is such a disappointment came is they don't have Neil Pionk, they don't have to need a writer. They just traded to their defenseman. Who's the other injury right now? Colin Miller. Vladislav Domestikov. Vladislav Domestikov and their 13, six and six in their last 25 games. There is a ton of negativity around the first three months of this season because if you can go 13, six and six when the hockey's tougher right now after Christmas and you can put use, this is my point about this roster isn't as bad as people think it is. You were disastrous in the first three months. If you can now with those four injuries and when hockey is tougher and everybody's fighting

and client and there are no easy nights left and go 13, six and six in 25 games, it just speaks to how bad you were in the first part of the season. You know, Jim, we could just do this whole show on, I'm just responding to textures. We got one here. This one, this texture says, Sarls did what Bucky has not done this year, steal a game for his team. Again, we don't need to go back far, Colorado on Saturday, texture, please, your name to 078068, 68, 68, I don't get this, what is Bucky done, what is, were you paying attention? This texture says Gary says goalies have 55 and 81 figured out Gary. How come are three assists yesterday? They both have what 31 goals? Shifley had an assist and Shifley's a, Shifley said a career high for assist this year and he's on a pace to break his all-time points record. I don't, I don't necessarily agree with that as well. On the shootout though, the shootouts a different story like, I can't, I can't, Gary, my apologies,

you're talking about the shootout. Kyle Conner is 0 for 3 now, 0 for 4 in the shootout this year, 0 for 4, Kyle Conner. And it reminds me of how Wayne Gratsky said, I hated breakaways, I wasn't very good. I did not want to be on a breakaway because he could do everything else so well. I eventually get to your head. Yeah. I like the pick of Valardi though, like when we were, when they were going to the shootout and we're trying to think of the names and I was like, well, Valardi is going to be one of them because he's read hot tonight. Valardi had himself a game last night. He played well. I asked you a question here. Cole Perfetti starting to heat up. Five goals, 11 points in his last 14 games. Is this the real Perfetti? Got an assist yesterday on Valardi's goal. That's a big question here. I'm not necessarily, it's more of a question to everybody. 204 780 68 68 204 780 68 68. I'll show you that heading into the last break. This texture says Perfetti equals Lowry money. So Lowry's getting paid five mill if I'm not mistaken until 2031.

So this was a fascinating conversation on Sunday's pregame show between John Chan and Kelly. Let me just heat up a little bit. Yeah, go ahead. So he is set to become a pending RFA and the question is 204 780 68 68. Would you reassign him or would you trade him as an asset? Hey, look, hey, he's heating up at the end of the year here. He's dealing with a high ankle sprain. This is really who Cole Perfetti is. And if you do decide to sign him instead of trade him, are you looking at a short medium or long-term deal? Jim Tov. Well, here's the thing. Let's just start with before we talk numbers. Is he more valuable to you playing this way next year in the year after or is he more valuable as a trade chip? Like when teams look at him right now and look at his stats and everything that comes with it, how he's played since Christmas, but also how he started with the albeit coming off an injury and all that. The past couple of years, everything. What do you think he could get on the trade market? Could he get a second line center? Could he garner you a 60 point second line center?

If he could do that, I would lean towards, and if that second line center is two or three years term, then I would lean towards that, but I don't think he could get you that. If he could, hypothetically, if Cole Perfetti could bring you a second line center for two years, I'd even do it for two years next year in the year after that, guaranteed, and he could be a UFA following that. I'm doing it. Well, remember two years ago we talked about this and I said Martin natures, send him and a pick. Different time. Yeah. I was not going anywhere. I was totally against that. He's right. He's right. He's right. He's right. He'll actually buy the golf memberships so they can golf together all summer because he's not going anywhere now. But I was at, you know, fully knowing that now the discussion with Kelly and John and I, I'm at the point where he's cost himself millions. I think in the little big picture thing, but John and Kelly brought up some very valid points of it's not what we think or see. That's what they, the brass, sheveled day off, Larry Simmons, Craig Heising or think

and see. And if they believe that he is the guy that they've seen since Christmas, healthy, drives to the net, puts up points, if they think he's that, then that's what the deal will reflect. And I thought that is such a valid point because I'm sitting here going, Cole, hot and cold again. We thought this was your year. Not reliable. I keep bringing that up because I think it's an important point. As you were injured and everything else, but we really feel, but this is the thing. What do you think he is? What they feel he is? If they feel he's still going forward a 60 point guy, then like Kelly and Johnson, you're going to get five to six years. And John brought up this in two years from now, six million dollars is four million dollars in the cap. Now I also think that when it goes up to 125 million, the jets will not be a captain. They can't afford that. I think there'll be about 110 million, something like that. But they're right. If you gave Cole a five year or six year old deal at six million dollars in two years from now, if he is scoring 60 points, that'll be like playing him four million in this

cap world. So I'm of the, I don't know. I thought you would be looking at, and then what does Cole think, right? Like Cole's agent, if he's, you know, really, I think Cole wants to be here. I think he wants to be a jet, all that. But Cole's agent could be sitting there going, look at Dylan Sandberg. Dylan Sandberg wanted to be locked up long term. He wanted six or seven years. He probably wanted eight million dollars a year. And they didn't want us. So he went with the three year deal that got him 5.75 and it took a while, remember? So I hate to say this to the listeners here, but if I'm Cole preferring his agent, I said here and I go, Cole, they can't get guys to come there. The free agent market is zilch this summer. They're in win now and they need you. Do you put up 40 points or 70 points? They need you. And I approach it that way. I want six or seven years and I want Gabe Velardi money. You're paying him for what he's going to do again, though, you're not, you're not paying

him for what he's done. That's the big difference. That's, that's what people get. I think a little bit confused when we talk about contracts. Yes. What is Cole, who is Cole Perfetti going to be over the three, four, five, six year deal that you're going to give him? And that's what Kelly and John's point was. Yeah. It's what they think of him. And I think they believe in him. I think what they've seen from Christmas is what sheveled they off in the brass think he's going to be. So six by six or think he is six years, six billion. Yeah. I think you heavily consider something like that. And that's what you think. And I said, because you're in date, they're like you're in danger of walking him to free agency. And I'm like, that's why I don't like a two year, I don't pick it two year or one year or two year. I don't like that. I look at Dylan Samberg and I see his five, seven, five over three years. And I'm like, I don't mind that if you get Cole on three years under six. But then to their point is he'll literally be like 28 and UFA.

And if he's got two seasons of the next three, it's 70 points. It is big time. That's the challenge, right? So they're, of course, a lot smarter than me, John and Kelly. But it was a fascinating discussion in which it came down to what does Kevin Cheveled Day off think Cole prefer. He is. Does he think he's the hit and miss hot and cold guy that he's been seen or does he believe that he's the guy since Christmas. And I think Kevin Cheveled Day off thinks he's the guy since Christmas. So if that's the case, my idea that he's cost himself millions and this is going to sound ridiculous because if he had 50 points at the end of this season, I think he's looking at six to seven million per. He's not going to have it. And now I still think he's looking at six million per. What do you think? Well, I think after you explore the trade market, because I do think I think it's elusive. I don't think you can get it to see. Maybe I mean, Mason McTavish is not having a great season with Anaheim. I think he was in a healthy scratch recently. He's a healthy scratch.

He has no trade protection. Or the next number of years. So is that a risk that you, but like, do the ducks need Culper Fettie? I don't think they do. But is there a player like Mason McTavish out there that's available that you can get with Culper Fettie and use them to package up a deal? I think I would heavily consider something like that. But I think that that's more of a, I think that the odds of that happening are fairly slim. I agree with you, Jim. I don't think that there's a trade out there. But I would explore it. There's a trade. Like teams want Culper Fettie. Don't get it wrong. I think I think you're either going to get him a second line center that puts up 60 points. I think you're either signing him for something similar to what Dylan Samber got on a three year contract. I think you're either getting him something like that or it's going to be six by six. But so who does, who does Culper Fettie think that he's going to be over the course of that time? So that's where the agent goes cold.

Do you want to bet on yourself and take a two to three year deal? I wouldn't do a two one or two. I would. Because he's, it's, no, I three would be the, would be the, would be the short end of the window. They're in, right? Yeah. Like three years. Shifling's going to be 35, 36. Halibuk's going to be 34, 35 more like the core of what they are. You'll need the second generation by then. And is Culper Fettie the second generation? Then he should be the top right winger. You better, you better hope. You better hope that he's the second generation, right? So I just, I thought he'd cost himself millions and I, where he has. There's no doubt about it. Yeah. It's just not a sure thing, but again, because the first thing he wants to be here, the first thing you're going to say is, and I keep bringing this point up, he hasn't been reliable and he hasn't, you know, whether that's his, you know, injuries and all that sort of stuff, but he hasn't. So that's the biggest nicks. I think Culper Fettie is, who he's been the last since Christmas. I believe that's his favorite. So do I. So do I. Yeah. I think that's who he is. I think he's on the cost.

I think he's feeling good. He's nothing but a massive positive for him and him, those two guys playing together for a long period of time, but, um, but there's intangibles there. There's, he hasn't been reliable, um, you know, are you that player? So that's why I would be more leaning if it, if six by six is on the table and that's what he's offering. I'd be, it would be tough for me as a member of the Jets to say, no, knowing where the cap is going. Do you think he hasn't been reliable or he hasn't been healthy? Well, I think they're the same thing. So that, yeah, because not reliable means like, yeah, I can't bank on you to show up every night. You're not showing up on time. You're not showing up on time. I mean, the matter to a miracle, I'm not pinning everything in his whole career on that, but that's showing up right in the time. That's, yeah. You know, so I, I think he's a perennial 60 point guy. I'm unsure if he's like a 75 to 80 point guy, but I think going forward at 24 years old for you. I can put up 60 points every single season.

Squeeze in a couple of cold prophetic, we're talking about what you should do with cold prophetic. Do you sign them? What kind of terms do you give them? This texture says, prophetic 70 points, LOL, LOL, LOL, LOL. This texture says, I'm a seasoned ticket holder. I've watched Cole, since he broke in, I'm very disappointed. This texture says, major quagmire, prophetic, he's an enigma wrapped in a riddle. I believe he will always be like, he has been wishy, washy, humdrum, he's an introvert on and off the ice, let him go. This texture says that you can try and lock a prophetic long term, could be a 70 point guy

if playing with decent offensive center. Also Baron needs to be played higher up the lineup. There's still more upside with him and so here's the thing like one more prophetic equals Lowry money, five to six million dollars maximum, I wouldn't pay him anymore. I'm not opposed to trading him, as I was in two years ago, but you have to understand what's most valuable to the organization. You have to make the team. It's not like, it's almost like not a prophetic per se thing. We have this entity. What can we get for it on the open market and does it help us and if you can't get a second line center, if you're just going to get some more bottom six players or a number or four or five D man, he's more valuable to you as a potential 50 to 60 point winger. It's simple as this. It has to make the team better. You have to do that simple and if two years ago because nobody knew quite yet, but then the guests didn't know yet either, right? And they have control. And it's the intangibles. Real quick here, Elias Patterson, Vancouver Kanox Sniper in quotes, went three hundred

and fifty four minutes, 29 seconds of ice time between goals. He scored twice and in five to one of the Panthers, 20 games. Last time he scored January 13th, did you reach back and take that monkey over two months? Throw it. I actually seriously am at the point where I feel bad for, I feel sorry for him. I like, there's something going on. I don't know if it's through him or anything else, but there is a weight on this.
