Story Transcript:

He: בגן הבוטני בירושלים, האביב צובע את הנוף בשלל צבעים.
En: In the botanical garden in Yerushalayim, spring colors the landscape with a multitude of hues.

He: ריח פרחים באוויר וציפורים מצייצות מברכות את המבקרים בשירים מתוקים.
En: The fragrance of flowers fills the air and chirping birds greet the visitors with sweet songs.

He: הילדות עם הלהבות הקטנות שלהן עושות מעגלים מסביב למדורות בפיקניקים של ל"ג בעומר.
En: Young girls with their little flames make circles around the bonfires at the Lag B'Omer picnics.

He: לוי, בחור צעיר ומלא סקרנות לגבי צמחים, חולם על היום הזה כבר הרבה זמן.
En: Levi, a young man with a keen interest in plants, has been dreaming about this day for a long time.

He: הוא רוצה להרשים את אבי, חברו, עם הידע שלו על צמחים ולהפוך את היום הזה לבלתי נשכח עבור שניהם.
En: He wants to impress Avi, his friend, with his knowledge of plants and make the day unforgettable for both of them.

En: Avi, despite his doubts, agreed to join Levi for a walk in the garden, but didn't tell him about his spring allergies.

En: Avi smiles, but inside he feels his nose clogged and his eyes starting to water.

En: The sun shines in full glory, and the garden is alive and blooming.

He: מכל עבר ילדים שרים, ומשפחות מנפנפות שיפודים במדורות.
En: Everywhere, children are singing, and families are waving skewers at the bonfires.

He: אבל ככל שהזמן עובר, אבי מתחיל להשתעל ולהתעטש.
En: But as time passes, Avi starts coughing and sneezing.

He: לוי שואל בדאגה, "אתה בסדר, אבי?
En: Levi asks with concern, "Are you okay, Avi?"

He: "באותו רגע, הדבר שאבי חשש ממנו קורה.
En: At that moment, what Avi feared happens.

He: הפנים שלו אדומות והעיניים שלו נראות דומעות.
En: His face is red, and his eyes appear teary.

He: "יש לי אלרגיה," אבי מודה לבסוף, נבוך.
En: "I have an allergy," Avi finally admits, embarrassed.

He: לוי מתרחק מיד מהצמחים, "בוא נלך לצד, נחפש עזרה.
En: Levi immediately moves away from the plants, "Let's go aside, find some help."

He: "לוי רץ עם אבי לעמדת עזרה ראשונה בגן.
En: Levi runs with Avi to the first aid station in the garden.

He: הצוות הרפואי מעניק לאבי טיפול מהיר, והוא מתחיל להרגיש טוב יותר לאחר כמה דקות.
En: The medical staff provides Avi with quick treatment, and he starts feeling better after a few minutes.

He: "אני מצטער שלא אמרתי לך," אומר אבי בקול מתנצל, "פשוט לא רציתי להרוס את היום.
En: "I'm sorry I didn't tell you," says Avi in an apologetic voice, "I just didn't want to ruin the day."

En: Levi smiles, "Your health is more important than anything else."

En: They walk together to the inner wooded areas, away from the rampant flowering.

He: ברקע עדיין נשמעים צהלות הילדים בחגיגות ל"ג בעומר העליזות.
En: In the background, the laughter of children is still heard in the joyful Lag B'Omer celebrations.

He: בסוף היום, השניים יושבים על ספסל בצפייה בילדים והמדורות.
En: At the end of the day, the two sit on a bench watching the children and the bonfires.

He: "בפעם הבאה נפיק פיקניק במקום פחות פורח," צוחק לוי ואבי נשלח הפרחת גיחוך.
En: "Next time, we'll have a picnic in a less blooming place," jokes Levi, and Avi lets out a small chuckle.

He: כך, בעיצומו של ל"ג בעומר מתפרחת וצהלה, לוי למד להקשיב ולתמוך, ואבי למד שאי אפשר להסתיר הכל מחבר אמיתי.
En: Thus, amidst the flourishing and merriment of Lag B'Omer, Levi learned to listen and support, and Avi learned that you can't hide everything from a true friend.
