You were paying more for gasoline and other energy last month as a result the Consumer Price Index rose 9.10% of a percent in March, the largest increase in nearly 4 years, for CPI excluding food and energy rose just 2.10% of a percent, not as big a jump as expected. For the year ending in March the CPI was up 3.3% up from February's 2.4% pace, the core annual CPI was up 2.6% not as high as forecast. Economists say a higher inflation reading doesn't necessarily mean the Fed will raise interest rates because it needs to consider both inflation and the state of the labor market. Portia's deliveries declined in the recent quarter after it ended production of gas-powered 718 models and incentives for E. Lee's ended in the U.S. That's your Fox Business Report.
