News in brief. AI Refuser quits job in protest. The name Gabrielle Boyle may go down in history as the first person in Australia to quit their job in protest are being forced to use AI for work tasks, if it sparks a movement. The Kofs Harbor local worked for the Australian Football League, AFL, as the participation manager for Northern New South Wales, but resigned when told by head office she could not opt out of using Microsoft Copilot. It's AI-large language model, about which she had expressed ethical and privacy concerns. It's my personal way of protesting against a future I don't want. Boyle said to Sydney Morning Herald. ASPy corrects. ASPy? The US-UK Japan funded Australian Strategic Policy Institute. ASPy was up to its usual tricks last week, with an attack on Anthony Albanese as Australian Chinese interpreter, Professor Charles Kin, for his alleged links to Chinese universities and community groups. But in ASPy's publication The Strategist, outgoing ASPy boss Justin Barcy
dismissed the insinuation made by ASPy analyst Jeff Wade, the Kin's affiliations are a national security issue. Quote, the fact that successive Australian leaders, from Bob Hawke to John Howard, Tony Abbott, and Anthony Albanese, have reportedly used the same interpreter, Charles Kin, in full view of intelligence agencies, suggests the answer is no, he said. Bedrock failure triggered Himalayan tragedy. The Nepal flood cause was a massive bedrock failure that took a glacier with it. According to new satellite imagery analysis, reported Indian publication The Week on 28 August. European geomorphologist Kristen Cook and her American colleague Dan Schuger, who studied rapid geologic change in high altitude environments, concluded from images taken a few days after the disaster when the weather cleared. Quote, it looked like there was not only this glacier that had failed, but a much larger chunk of the bedrock of the mountainside itself that had given way that took part of the glacier with it. End quote Netanyahu, I influenced US into Iran war. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
has boasted in the current Israeli election campaign that he personally influenced the United States to attack Iran. Quote, it took me a long time to bring our security establishment to deal with Iran itself and not just its branches, to bring the United States to its senses. He said on television, quote, I could do it. This is because I had close to 1000 hours on American television with the ability to influence the United States, with the intimate knowledge of all its leaders, both those who support us and those who don't. End quote.
