Australian Alert, 2 September, 2026, Sovereignty requires economic revolution. Booming financial assets are the last gasp of a dying system, like the giant blaster of a dying star. At the center of our political universe, the United States faces a desperate race to sustain its collapsing economy, desperation which raises the danger of a much bigger war. Speaking on the 17th of August podcast, Moody's analytics chief economist Mark Zandee foreshadowed that all the preconditions for a day of reckoning for the USA are coming into place. It is almost inevitable, he said, because the American political system cannot make the changes necessary to address financial failures. US national debt now exceeds $40 trillion US dollars and is getting more expensive to maintain as US Treasury bond yields rise. This will worsen if Fedor Reserve chair Kevin Warsh raises rates, which he hinted at in his speech

to the Jackson Hole Economic Policy Symposium. Treasury interventions to push down bond yields have failed. Foreign countries continue to divest from US treasuries, leaving speculative hedge funds in the Cayman Islands the largest foreign holders of US debt. As the Wall Street Journal noted, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent is likely to tap another confected source of demand for treasuries in the crypto market, stablecoins. This was part of the solution raised at Jackson Hole by IMF managing director Kristalina Georgieva, who called for a more tightly coordinated international financial framework for the risky period ahead, demanding, quote, fiscal heavy lifting, difficult social choices, end quote, that put finance ahead of people. Nuclear war danger. All of this occurs as the US economy is squeezed by the demands of a war it can't win. In the second of September post, US President Donald Trump threatened that if Iran retaliated after his latest strikes near the Strait of Hormuz, the USA will hit it again, quote,

but it will not be the biggest attack of them all. That is waiting in the wings and, when it is over, there will be very little left of the Islamic Republic of Iran. End quote. In the 29th of August podcast with former US counterterrorism director Joe Kent, Tucker Carlson revealed that within military circles discussing Iran's strategies, quote, the option has been floated of using what are called tactical nuclear weapons. Discussions about their use have taken place in the Pentagon. End quote. This follows the announcement by Undersecretary of Defence for Policy, Elbridge Colby, at a US strategic command symposium in early August, that the president needs more quote, rational nuclear options in dealing with the threat of regional wars supposedly emanating from Russia and China, refer to alert the 19th of August. The USA is drawing the rest of the world further into its war by demanding we join its economic sanctions on Iran, or risk being cut off from the US dollar order, as besieged, who characterized US finance as being in a quote,

global investment surge, told G20 nations. If Australia wishes to withstand such demands, it must stand on its own feet economically. We need an economy. Now, in a memo to G20 finance ministers and central bankers meeting in North Carolina, Bank of England head and financial stability board chair Andrew Bailey, warned of contagion triggered by, quote, a large shock or combination of shocks, end quote, citing vulnerabilities including sovereign debt, high leverage, private credit and hedge funds. Despite free market propaganda to the contrary, the financial bubble has swamped and killed the real economy, as the case of Barthler Group shows refer to track 5. Over 16,500 dwellings planned or under construction, including affordable apartments, are now stalled in the middle of a housing crisis. The RBA admits that the reason for inflation, which news report show has not been tamped by the central bank's action,

is insufficient quote economic capacity. But the bank refuses to sufficiently regulate the financial sector, and rather than act to enhance economic capacity, it advocates higher unemployment and lower consumption to fix fiscal imbalances, refer to alert the 26th of September. Discussing one nation's rise with Andrew Clenell on Sky News back in May, shadow housing minister Andrew Bragg declared, quote, I think Australians want an economic revolution, I think they're right to want that, and they deserve one, end quote. He claimed the Liberal Party would lead the way, but repeated in the next breath all the same failed neoliberal mantras. What Australia needs is grand transformative economic projects that not only put people to work and build the infrastructure we are desperately lacking, but inspire the next generation to be part of it.
