Good die, mate. Welcome to 49ers Down Under. What's up, everyone? Welcome to the brand new show I just started called 49ers Down Under. You guys can't, well, it's presented by PrizePix, which is the most important thing about this show. You guys can't really tell. Right behind me is the entire downtown of Melbourne, Australia. I wanted to show you, but the thing about streaming is you don't want backlighting. It's always got to be frontlighting. So I had to, you just trust me on this one. I'm in a really nice hotel. I got a corner suite. They upgraded me. So I'm just going to brag for the next hour, because I'm in Australia. No, let me take you through my last 24 hours, because I'm, as you can tell, completely delirious. I'm running on fumes. I probably shouldn't be streaming. This is probably, you know, not unprofessional, but risky. So you guys keep me in line,

make sure I don't do anything stupid. I'm not going to even remember this tomorrow. Here's what I did last 24 hours. Once in a lifetime experience went to SFO, okay, had a direct flight from SFO to Melbourne. So I brought golf clubs, check those in. I'm ready to go out here. I'm ready to have the best time of my life. Check those in. Went to the, to the mustard's grill in the international terminal. Got some, just got some bar eats, you know what I mean? Nothing to, I got a couple of drinks. I want to go to bed, not drinking too much these days, but I had a, a Hendrix martini with a twist. And then I had a shot of Ilegal mezcal just to just to lubricate the system. I also had some spare ribs, which were just delicious with some like sesame seeds on top. But that's has nothing to do with Australia. So then, then I go to the gate. And I see Matt Mayoco there, the great Matt Mayoco. A lot, I mean, Steve Bono's wife is on the, the plane

sitting next to me. I didn't know until hour 15 or 16, but Steve Bono's wife. I mean, some, some huge celebrities. Me, I was on the, so it's the biggest plan I've ever freaking seen. There's like four different sections. I started off in coach, because you know, you know, man of the people. But then I was like, oh my god, I'm going to have a panic attack because I'm not going to sleep in coach. Because the thing about coaches, you really can't, but you can like recline your seat like that much. And as I can't really sleep like that. So I upgraded to coach plus with extra legroom, but then I still kept panicking. I'm like, what about that recline action? So I wanted to get the full lay down, the full lay down, because Matt, he said he was going to get it. And he did, that's like, they call that Polaris United Polaris. And I didn't get it because it was sold out. I was going to get, I was going to spend hella money on that. But I thank God I didn't get it because I just went middle tier, which is like business class. And it was called United premium plus. It was so nice. Oh my god. I was on the, I was on the aisle. So I could get up whenever I wanted. It was really wide. It went back hell of far, but not all the way. And it was, it was nice. So I got myself

one more drink just to make, you know what I mean? I got myself a little buffalo trace. I started watching Top Gun, which I confess I've never seen. I've seen parts of Top Gun, but I've never seen the original OG Top Gun. So I watched that. Wow. What a bromance flick loved it. Loved all the, all the topless guys hugging each other. Love that man. That's so that kind of got me in the mood. And then, and then I fell asleep for like five hours. And the thing about this flight is like, it's, it's 16 hours long. And it's like, you take off at 11 30. So it's nighttime. And it's just nighttime the whole, the whole way because you're flying away from the sun. You're like trying to avoid the sun. So it was like a 16, 17, 20 hour night. And then so when the sun goes down, it's Wednesday. And when the sun comes up, it's Friday. And I'm in Melbourne, Australia. I did two articles on the plane. I listened to like a half of an audio book, The Crossing by Core

Mac McCarthy. What a tragic, horrifying tear jerk. I loved it. And then that we landed around eight o'clock in the morning out here in Melbourne. And it's like March out here, essentially. It's like just turning into spring. It's sunny out, but kind of crisp. I'm walking around and it just feels exactly like California, the way the air feels, the way it smells. It's beautiful. Melbourne happens to be on a, on a bay with, with a bridge. I mean, it's like, it feels like the Bay Area or Seattle or something because it's, it's the furthest south of the big Australian cities, which means it would be like Seattle or Boston because south is north down here. And I've heard that people from Melbourne kind of have that chip on their shoulder like people from Boston do anyway. I feel like quite at home out here. The only thing is, and it's terrifying. They drive on the wrong side of the road. And the Uber driver is in the passenger seat, not the

driver seat. It's freaking scary. And I feel like I'm going to die because you like just kind of walk out into the street with your peripheral vision, you know, fixed to the left. Is there anyone coming from over? But no, it's going to come from here. And it's going to kill me. So that was just weird driving around being like, I think all your instincts are wrong. And then the sockets are different. So I had to get different. But I got, I'm prepared for that. Haven't eaten anything yet. I'm going to go to a, I'm going to a game tonight. I'm trying to get on Australia time as quickly as possible. So I'm talking like I'm an Australia expert because I've been here for an hour. So I know everything about Australia. But really, I've gone from the airport to my hotel. And they didn't have my room ready right away because I got here like 10, 30 in the morning, even though it's been hell along. I haven't checked the water yet. I know it's counter, it's counterclockwise. I got to check if it's clockwise. I haven't checked yet. I should check. I went to the gym. Ashley gave me a great workout. I did a four and a half minute run for distance with a 90 second walk, three times.

And then two all outs only thing is the other thing that gets me about Australia, the metric system. I'm used to running like, you know, nine miles an hour for when I'm really pushing it or like 11 for when I'm going all out or 12 or 13 or whatever. And I'm looking at it says kilometers per hour. Fuck you. The hell am I supposed to do with that? Huh? So I was over here running 12 kilometers an hour. Is that fast? Is that slow? I don't know. I can't do math when I'm running or ever. So that's one of the things you need to know about Australia. If you come here, metric system's going to confuse you. People driving the wrong side of the road. You can't drive out here. But I mean, I'm really excited to actually like explore the city. Once I'm done streaming, I'm going to walk around and find something to eat. And then again, tonight I got a ticket to go see a very big Australian rules. AF Australian rugby. I don't. Australian rules football. I'm a little tired, but it's 18 guys per team. And it's a big, I think it's like a big game. I

don't know nothing about this sport, but I learned that mid-twish Nowski played in this thing. And so everyone like is a really good at punching. Like they can all run around and kick the ball. I think that sounds pretty cool. So I'm excited. And I'm be sitting right behind the goal posts. And I'm going to have a meat pie. And I'm going to do instant reaction to a sport. I don't quite understand. And I'm going to be really passionate about one of the teams, depending on who I'm sitting around. Because I don't want to get my ass kicked. Do you? Grant, what team are you a fan of? Whatever fucking team I'm sitting by tonight. And who are who? I don't know. I'll find out. I'll find out later. Jalong is one of them. Jalong. I don't. I'm going to be a Melbourne expert. I don't think they say Melbourne. I think it's Melbourne. Like there's no R. Melbourne. Welcome to Melbourne. I like it so far. And I feel like everyone I've met. So it is like, oh, you're from America. I've never been there. I'm like, oh, well, you're from Australia. I've never been here until now. So we're even. One of the things I like about Australia,

they speak English here. Love that. Not that other languages aren't great. Because I'm sure they are. I just don't speak them. So it makes it hard for me. Here, easy. They run seven miles. No, I ran. I ran like three, maybe less. But I was in the zone. And I don't understand people acting like, this is such a huge deal. Oh, I didn't put in any of the things. Hold on. I don't understand why people acting like they're not going to have jet lag or the rams aren't. Dude, I'm ready to go. I already worked out I did bench press. I did low row. I did. I did deadlift, like one leg of deadlift and wearing using no weight, just body weight. Because that's so hard. And then a plank. So I'm pretty much ready. I could play football right now. And I feel like the night is going to play football right now. And I don't want to hear these excuses. Because I was in business class. And that was that was that was the nicest 16 hours in business class, beat six hours in coach. I slept good. I slept

a legit seven hours. Dreaming and shit. Rem cycles on a plane. Now, Mattie was sitting like 15 feet in front of me in first class in Polaris. Kind of pissed me off. Not that he didn't deserve it. He paid for it. But I'm just I mean, you think you're tough until you see someone really, really lounging and you're like, damn, I wish I was that guy. But Mattie, you know, I'm a young I'm a young strapping man. I can handle it. I feel great. And I'm going to learn so much. I'm going to go check out the botanical garden tomorrow. I'm going to go check out some of these golf courses. See what they're all about. You know what I mean? Just interview people on the street. Hi, what's your name? Maybe I'll maybe I'll do that. I'm an American. Are you Australian? What's that like? How's that treating you? That would be my questions to people from here.

Low-smop 415's Grand Tavius cone down under this. That is all. Hold on. Give me 10 seconds so I could put in my banners. I'm just so geeked up. First impression of Australia. All right. It's way better with the band. I don't like when there's not a banner on the screen. I need a banner. Britain 2316 says top ring Niners that could beat a kangaroo in a fight. Oh my god. Oh my god. Jake Tonjes. Deamador, LaNor. Because of hyena, beats a kangaroo. And Eddie Panero would whoop his ass. Because he has the foot action. I think you actually I think kicking would work. I think you want because I feel like a kangaroo would have reach on you. Plus it can stand up on his tail and kick you too. So I feel like kicking would be important. I take Eddie P in a heart beat.

YM Glove Blue 9618 says off topic. We have no topic today. Did you notice? But damn, silver didn't give the clippers a slap on the wrist, bro. He shot the clippers in both these. He for sure gave quiet slap on the wrist though. But you know, the clippers shouldn't, you know, they shouldn't have done that. And no team should ever try to circumvent the salary cap. That's why it's there. Too much sauce as we're players rehabbing on the flight. That wasn't on the player flight. I wish but I was I was walking around feeling great. I'm feeling better than I than I felt before I left. That's how great this experience was business class. I like business class. Nine or fans has grant. Are you scared of running into giant spiders or is that a different part of Australia? I don't know. I was hoping that would be a different part of Australia. I'm in like a city. So maybe that's going to like, what the outback? I've heard. Is that a real place or is it just a steakhouse? The outback. Am I close to it? Is it going to get me? Megan Aussie 12. Something says,

welcome to Australia grant. AFL Michael Dixon from Seattle also played at its melbourne. Is it though? Because everyone I hear out here is like, hey, it's Melbourne. I'm like, where's the R? You're just dropping the R and now she's telling me that got to put the R back in. I feel like a jerk when I say Melbourne. I feel like she'd give me bad information. I heard Melbourne. Like Melvin with the B. Max Bove says been watching from Australia since 2019 would love to meet you at a game and get a photo. AFL is only big in Melbourne. NRL is our NFL equivalent. National rugby league. Got it. Is that what Jared Haynes from the NRL? Hey, well, you know, they're playing tonight. R NL new member. Thank you very much. R NL Davey 54 two bucks. Thank you. Bill Kennedy says you're in the future. Take advantage. Pet big. I am. It's Friday for me. It's 1217 on Friday. I'm about to go eat lunch.

What do you guys? What do you guys? Is it seven o'clock on Thursday? Dude, I already did that. Too much sauce as wait. Did some media get to fly on the charter? No. No. R NL says any kangaroo sightings. No. Too much sauce is what USA is most similar. Australia. If you had to choose one, I've been here for two hours. California. I feel like I'm in California. I feel like I flew 16 hours to go from California to California in Bizarre or World where everyone draws on the wrong side of the road and has this funny accent that I like. And football is a little different. But it's California. So I feel I'm going to get some Chinese food later. It's going to be so fucking good. Oh, I'll be better than California Chinese food. Bass. Massie Sharif says, hey, great. Welcome to Australia. How many pints you're going to drink tonight? 15 is the minute. See, that's what I'm saying, man. I'm drinking much and I feel like I'm going to get peer pressured in a drinking pints of fosters tonight. You know what? I can't be held responsible for anything that happens. Although I am responsible. Ask Marcus Sanchez. But I'm not going to do that. I'm not going to do that. Hold on. I had to put another banner real quick.

I usually put the banners in before the show starts, but I just got really excited to do the show because I haven't slept. Keeping the faith said, I did sleep a little bit. Hope you're there to play edge. They need it. I'm going to talk about that in a second. Mark Salas says, the Rams can destroy the Niners psyche for the rest of the season if they win. I agree with that. I feel like the Niners getting here so early puts them in an interesting position mentally where I think they would have a tougher time dealing with the loss than the Rams would considering the Rams aren't really trying. Let us know how you feel tomorrow when it's the same time as the game on Thursday. All right. We'll let you know tomorrow. Lowest mob four and five says Grand Tavius cone. That's all again. Thank you so much. Lowest mob. Megan Aussie 12 go Kruger says, I mean, how would I know how to say it? I love how I'm pissing around born and raised in this country. So kind of know how to say it and spiders or everywhere. BTW. No, I think you're wrong. Sorry. Thanks for the five bucks, but I just think you're wrong. Again, Megan, you've lived your whole life. I've been here for two hours. Okay.

I think I would know because I think what's happening is your ear. Is it a two because you've been here your whole life? You don't really hear it. You know what I'm saying? Like I'm an outsider. Plus, I'm always right. And a plus I've been here for two hours. So I it's Melbourne. I'm just going to keep saying that just to piss off. Megan, but I'm right. Two hours. Your whole life. Nine or fan, then why does it sound like Melbourne to me, Megan? Am I stupid? Probably. Nine or fans says when you get back to the US, you should rate which trip you like better between Australia trip and the Mexico trip in 2022. All right. Mexico trips coming up again. I absolutely love the Mexico trip. I feel like because I was only in one really one little neighborhood of Mexico city, but I think it was the nicest one was like Palanco or Roma, Norte, there's like that little air. It felt like Beverly Hills, but nicer and better. So I Australia, Megan, I don't know Megan.

Turn up Tony D says no one else hang out with David Lamarty. He wasn't on the flight. He's going to doing a trip around Australia covering himself, covering the Niners. All right. I'm talking about football for a second. We can always come back to Australia whatever you want. Megan, all right. Here's all I want to say about John Lynch. I think the J. York thing, like I'm not going to talk about his scandal anymore. We talked about that enough. Like that scandal in the day, John left thing or kind of played out, but the fact that he's not the CEO anymore, I think is an under discussed topic. Everyone's so focused on the trailer park and for good reason. I mean, anytime, I mean, no one expects to talk about trailer parks when you're a sports rider, but really the story is the CEO shift. The fact that it was, J. York, that he was, he wasn't like, medicine, but he wasn't the building he wanted to be involved and him wanting to be involved, meant that Parag was super involved. And then, and then they made Guido the CEO and then Parag left

coincidence. I think not. So what's the fallout now of J. York being an owner, not a CEO, Al Guido running the show and Parag being out? It does this effect Kyle Sandahan. I don't think so. I mean, maybe he's coming off a really good season last year. The Niners, I don't know that they are eyeing someone who could replace him. I think Kyle's okay. Maybe I'm wrong. If the Niners were to miss the playoffs, though, they always scapegoat someone could it be Raheem Morris? I mean, they've scapegoated defensive coordinators after one year before twice. So yes, but I think if the defense is the problem, well, if the defense is the problem, if injuries are the problem, I think it always goes back to John. And the fact that his drafting for like four years in a row is not good for 2022 to 2025 minus Brock party. That was great. He gets credit for that. But pretty much everything else was no good for four drafts in a row.

And that could catch up to the Niners this year. They had a good draft this year. Maybe that gives him some more life. But I wonder if the fact that because the way I always felt was, I mean, the GM's the last 20 years have been Scott McClellan, Trent Balke, John Lynch. McClellan and Balke were scouts that didn't have a ton of say over money because Parag ran that. And then you have John Lynch who's not a scout and not a money guy. He's a face guy. He's a voice guy. He's a credibility guy, but he's not picking players and he's not negotiating contracts. So they, I mean, no disrespect, but I would consider those types of GM's like week GMs on the scale of how much power they have. I would say that John Lynch is one of the weaker GMs. It's in terms of what his job description is. And now again, that was always necessitated because Parag needed to do something and the Yorks trusted him. But now he's gone. And I know they have Brian Hampton as

the new de facto money guy. But I don't feel like maybe I'm wrong. I just don't think Brian Hampton is trying to butt in everywhere the way Parag was forever. Parag was didn't think he's just a money guy. I thought he was a general manager. He thought I was an analytics guy. He's over, you know, running lees like he's the GM. So good luck. Because now he's, you know how I'm an expert on Australia and Melbourne. Melbourne. I'm an expert. He's an expert on soccer, just like I'm an expert on AFL. Australia rules football. Me. So look, he's out. And now you got Alguido who doesn't, I don't think see himself as some type of GM and training. I think he's just competent owner who can do what he needs to do. And you know, schedule concerts at Levi's and international games. He can do stuff like that, build the brand. But if he doesn't have someone attached to him who's trying to be intrusive, then he could go out and get, you know, the best GM out there. What's stopping him?

If drafting's the problem and drafting is the reason they missed the playoffs, then maybe Alguido, what he wants to do to make his imprint on the franchise is to hire someone. A lot of times, a CEO, someone new wants to make their imprint by not just keeping everything the same, but hiring someone. I don't know that the first thing Alguido wants to do is fire, college, and I don't think Kyle will ever get fired by the Niners. They might let his contract expire. That's what the Eagles did with Andy Reed. They haven't extended him yet. But and I think maybe the same thing is true with John Lynch. He's, I think they, he's done a lot of good things. He's not trying to back. He's not going to get sent out of here and disgrace. But when does his contract up? If you look online, it says 2026. Maybe I'm wrong. We asked Jed York at the owners meetings and he seemed like he didn't know anything. And at the time, it was like, I don't know, was it 20, the 20s? And did we sign Christian Kirk? And it seems so cute at the time like he was playing choir or something? No, he legit doesn't know. He's taking such a big step back and he's focused on other things as we've

seen. So Alguido is actually involved on a day-to-day basis. You know, they were already getting questions about the drafting at the Super Bowl. Maybe Alguido wants to make his mark by bringing in the number two guy from the Rams or the Seahawks or the Packers or the Lions. I mean, it'd be nice. Or you know what, you know what I think the Niners would do? Because it's such a Niners thing to do. It's just like demoting Jed and promoting Alguido. Like you don't actually, they don't actually want to go outside the organization. They still want to feel like their operation is great. So I wouldn't be surprised if they promoted Quessi, Adolfo Mensa, who's already in the organization. I mean, this draft looks a lot better. I could see Guido or the Niners being like, well, look, that was Quessi. He came back and look what kind of impact he had. Man, I'm so tired. I'm starting to get tired. I don't think I can play a football game anymore, guys. I think I spoke too soon because what's going to happen is I'm going to go get lunch and then it's going to hit me

man like a ton of freaking bricks. And then I'm going to come back and I'm going to try to take a nap, but not too much because I got to get on Australia time. I got to acclimate. I got to go to this game tonight. Big game. Lot of stake. Winner take all. It might be a winner take all match or not. I'll find out. But year 10, this could be the last year for John Lynch is what I'm trying to talk about when I talk about Australia and those football low-smob 415 says Grand Tavius cone one mo last game. One mo last game. Did I ever tell you the story? This is a great story. Is this okay? I think this is appropriate. There's a famous rapper, same I famous name Bobby brackets. He had a bunch of hits like 10, 15 years ago. He also is like a famous, a very like well respected or in demand go strider been around for a long time. So we went to the same high school, same grade. We all knew Bobby was going to be special. He was hilarious and a character and talented and a ladies man. He was everything he says he is in his

reps much more advanced than I was. But he thought that I was hooking up with this girl. I really wasn't. I was like 15, 16. He thought he heard that I was. I wasn't. So he went up to this girl and said, Hey, let me get that Iggy one mo again. And she came and told me she was like, did you tell him that we hooked up? I was like, no, absolutely not. Because I didn't. I don't even talk to Bobby like that. But he heard that I did. And he said, so I always thought that was the coolest way to talk about hooking up that Iggy one mo again. Thank you, Bobby. Look up Bobby brackets. He's legit famous. He came to our fifth year high school reunion, but nothing after that. I keep going to the high school meetings because I want to see Bobby. And then and and and and and and and and and he says, oh, donate 20 bucks. Thank you very much. This season feels like a legacy defining benchmark for the Shanahan Lint regime. If the quest for six isn't accomplished, uh, major shakeups should happen. 10 years has been more than enough time to give Shanahan chance to win fair. And I think I don't

know what the Alguido effects going to be, but I feel like having a new CEO is is significant. And he's going to want to make his imprint. And I'm curious to see what it is. Because I think Jed was scared to do anything. Jed was the one who screwed up the Harbour era not Guido. Jed screwed that up. Jed hired Tom Sula. Jed hired Chip Kelly. Jed stuck with Trent Palky's who long dread. Jed was the Jed cleared out the stadium. Jed had Jets flying banners over the stadium saying fire Jed. That was all his fault. Did he was he the one who hired Kyle Shanahan? I don't think so. I think that was a family thing. I think the parents had a connection with Mike Shanahan and worked it out that way. I don't think Jed worked that one out. I don't think he was a closer on that one. I'm going to frequently lose my train of thought because I haven't slept much. What are we talking about? Yeah. So Guido doesn't have all of those battle scars, all that trauma

from making the wrong decision. Maybe he wants to do like maybe he wants to act. And maybe if he says, hey, Denise and John lynches the reason we can't get over the hump because our drafting isn't good enough. This is who I want to bring in. Maybe they'll say, all right, we trust you. If Jed wanted to do this, we wouldn't really trust him. It's our son, but we love him. But you, we like you. Maybe they feel that way. I don't know. BNASABA's 1988 says good a picture with Jared Hain, LOL. No, I hate Jared Hain. He said some stuff about Jews. I don't play that. I don't fucking play that shit. Jared comes see me. Coriander seed says from Rom Callie now melbs for 20 years. See, see Megan calls it melbs. Melbs. It has been. I fucking told you it's been met. I fucking told you it's been. It has been also if there's, if it's if beer seem expensive, minimum wage is over 24 an hour here. Nightlife in Melbs is great.

All right. If beer seem expensive. But like doesn't the American dollar go like go pretty far here? I told you, Megan, you're trying to play me. You're trying to play me. You want me to walk around the city and say it wrong. And that's funny to you. What do you sick? What a sick person does that? Just kidding. Someone's lying to me. Jameer says every day we love you leads leads leads. Eddie Dees and I know says Megan is the most rude people in these chats. Really? Hain was probably right. Me and fuck you. What? I don't think so. Man, that wasn't nice. But you know, then I said fuck you. So that wasn't nice either. All right. One, all right. We got prize picks. Prize picks time. So prize picks aren't I can't make the picks from Australia. Who knew? But you probably don't live in Australia. You probably live in America. One of the 50 50 states. There's 50 states, right? Oh, there's also Washington DC. If you're there, you can make

the picks down on the prize picks app. New users play five bucks and get 150 in line ups. When you win, if you use promo code HMA, these are some picks I made recently. If you want to, if you want some inspiration, Brock, Purdy, more than half an underception, I think he's going to get picked Eddie Penero more than six and a half kicker points. Matthew Stafford also getting picked. Miles Garrett with a sack and Nick Boseau with the sack because you know, anybody can get it. I don't know what had to do anything, but those are my picks. You can you can copy him or you can do the exact opposite or you could do your own. Or you could do your own over at prize pick action. Yes. Yes. Someone's actually that's and did I see if that the Titans pulled to do is credential. I did see that. That's scary. What I will say though is what they got them on a technicality. And I'm starting to see teams do a line in the sand on this. I'm curious how this is going to work in the future because like all these, you know, newspapers and websites and TV stations are

dying and YouTube's not. But they pulled this news credential in Tennessee because he's just a YouTuber and he made cam ward looks stupid. He was like, how would you assess your your preseason, which is a good fucking question. And cam ward who wasn't prepared for a good question said, I don't know, how would you assess it? Which don't do that. You just say, I wasn't good enough, but it's just preseason. You know, I want to get that out of the way now and I'm focused moving forward. That's all you say. How would you assess it? And the guy said, well, not well, pull to credential. Kind of scary because that's something I would do. But I think I've insulated myself because I'm actually he's not a beat writer. He would show up sometimes. I show up every day. I work as hard as any beat writer on the beat. And I think John and Kyle respect the grind, even if they don't appreciate the questions sometimes. So maybe I'm wrong. Maybe I'm going to get my credential pulled one day. And I would not appreciate that, but hasn't happened yet.

Let me get another banner on screen. All right, so this news broke just as I got on the flight last night. Samo Kowano did not make the trip to Australia. I'm here. He's not. He's a foot injury. There's some rumors going around online that he may have broken it. I don't know. But the fact that he didn't get on the, you'd think like if he, well, how many foot injuries can there be? I mean, did he, that he's sprained his foot? If there was something minor, you'd think he'd get on the plane and, you know, ice it and be back. But the fact that they didn't even put him on the plane makes you think that he's probably got an injury that's going to take more than six days to heal. And that would be like a broken bone. So, um, heart goes out to Samo Kowano. Good player. Not a guy you want to start, but actually a guy you'd want to play against the Rams in week one. Because the nine, I mean, defensive end might be one of the worst positions on the team. So much depends on Nick Bosa, the Red Wheel Barrow. So

much depends on Nick Bosa, Glazed with brain water beside the White chickens. So I was like, I've always said, like William Carlos Williams said, he, he foretold this about Nick Bosa. So, but the thing about Nick Bosa is, let's say he plays week one, which he might, I mean, he's here. Why would you come all the way to freaking Australia to not play? But I was thinking he would play on third downs. And Samo Kowano would do the freaking dirty work of setting edges and taking on double teams and stuffing the run over and over and over again. But now he's not going to be here. So the defensive end they have are Bosa, who should be on a pitch count. If they're smart, um, Ramello Hight, who's injured, but who probably play, he's here ankle injury though. And he's not good yet. Hasn't shown anything. And um, Keon White. Is he good? Is he a good run defender? I mean, the Patriots didn't want him. The night has got him for like nothing. He, I thought was a better interior pass rusher than Michael Williams last year, but he's not anywhere near the run defender

than Michael Williams is. So he's going to play like every, he's going to have to play every freaking snap. Keon White. Bosa shouldn't because Bosa has Patela tendonitis. If he ruptures that Patela, his career most likely is over. But a ruptured Patela is tough to come back from. Western Richbury had that and he never did come back. So that defensive end position, it's like why haven't they brought in a veteran? You think they'd bring in a vet right now? Like, and to me, this is where they screwed themselves going to Australia week early. There are benefits to going to Australia week early. Clearly, we all know body clock stuff. But I think there's also downsides, which is why the Rams maybe didn't do it. I think there's some downsides here. What's the one downside is your roster is essentially locked in the minute you leave for Australia. And you had a practice on Wednesday and then you went to

Australia and you were crossing your fingers and no one would get hurt. But Sam Okwano did. And so if you were here for the next few days, it'd be a lot easier to bring in veterans, have a tryout, sign someone to your practice squad at plan for a week and then cut them. But now you're in Australia. So how do you sign Leonard Floyd? What if Leonard Floyd doesn't have a passport? What if Leonard Floyd doesn't want to sign with you for a week and flat of Australia to get cut after the game and then come back? What if he doesn't want to do that? It just seems way harder to add someone now. I don't think you can. I think this is their team and it's only going to potentially lose players between now and the game. And I'm not saying that means they shouldn't have come a week early, but that's the downside. They can't really take her with their roster. They're in Australia now. It's so far away.

It wears you down on the plane and then there's eight more hours. So interesting. I mean, the good news is Nick Boss is coming back. Same day, the bad news is Sam O's not going to be here in Australia. And to me, yes, Nick Boss represents a pass rush. And if you have a pass rush, you have a chance against any team. But you have to earn the right to rush the passer. That's a cliche. Right? Like if you can't defend the run at all, if you're giving up seven yards of carry, the other team doesn't really have to pass. And with no Sam O'Quanu, with no Michael Williams, with Nick Boss on a pitch count, not in football shape, who the fuck is said and edges? Keon, Wyden, Ramello, Hyde, good lord. And of course, they're going to activate Agba, Agba, Okaranko. And frankly, he might be better than Ramello, Hyde. I don't even know if Ramello, what if Ramello, Hyde doesn't even play? He's injured. He did nothing in preseason. He's a rookie. They might give him a shot or it could be, you know, Keon,

Wyden, Agba, Okaranko, and Nick Boss at Yikes, Yikes, Yikes. All right, give me a second. All right. All right. I'm going to take some more Super chats real quick. Chris O, 9-8-9-3 says Grant, jump on a plane to Sydney for the day. One hour flight, given objective comparison of Mel versus Sid, hint answer is Sid. No. I'm not going to do that. This trip is 100% about Melbourne. That's how you pronounce it. 100% about Melbourne, okay? Sydney has nothing to do. Brisbane, I'm sure these places are incredible places. And I'd love to go there again in the future, but this is a Melbourne-only trip. It's it. I'm not coming here to shit on Melbourne because I'm a Melbourne guy now. It's the only city I've ever known in Australia. I'm from here. Sal Gese says, surprise since you're in Australia that you haven't said another

trip on the barbie a very disappointed cone. I mean, that's cliche. Like I feel like if you've been in Australia for three hours as I have, you don't say stuff like that. That's not a knife. This is a knife. John Chesshari says, Grant, focus. All I need is, all I need to say is 9-11-6. Do you really feel that in your heart, though? 11-6? I don't feel that in my heart anymore. I just don't. Danger zone, anyone says, gotta try an HSP Cabab meat on the meat on hot fries. Go to Ligon Street, Queen Vic Marcus, Crown Casino Complex. Man, I'm only right there. I'm not gonna remember that. Trying the HSP with the HSP Cabab meat hot fries. What is that English? Okay, I'll try that. Ligon Street, Queen. I love how these British colony,

like former British colonies, like Fiji and Australia and Canada have all these references to the Queen and shit. Hahahaha. hilarious. We would never do that in America. Queen Vic Marcus, the Queen, Crown Casino Complex. Okay. I mean, I think it's cool the whole matriarchal system. I'm down. I'm not a patriarchy guy. You know what I'm saying? Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. All right. How about this? Biggest concern versus the Rams. I'm not saying the Rams are gonna win this game because I don't even know who they're bringing to Melbourne. We'll see. Is Aaron Donald coming? Is Miles Garrett coming? Will Freakensy? Is Pukin a Cohen coming? I don't know. But regardless of those players, the biggest concern for the Niners against the Rams in this matchup to me,

isn't like just the defense. I think that's too broad. I think it's the run defense in particular. Now, maybe it's the offensive line. Maybe it's the offensive line against that defensive line. That's the strongest part of the Rams team right now is the defensive line. But we don't really know who they're bringing. Carver Willis, all that. But the run defense, the run defense, if they can't stop the run, they're not going to win the game. And from like just let's just go through the front seven. Nick Bosa, how much can he play? What's his run defense going to look like? Osha Digi-Zua, better pass Russia than run defender. Alfred Collins. Looks like he didn't work out during the off. Like Alfred Collins looks like he had a shoulder injury and had to rehab and forgot to work out the entire time and is not in shape. He was like, oh, you wanted me to stay in shape while I rehab my shoulder injury. My bad. I didn't. I thought that was going to be like one after the other. He looks so far away from being able to actually contribute. But who else are they going to throw out there? James Thompson Jr. He was hurting the

last practice. CJ West, he had a terrible off. Maybe CJ West, I don't know. And then Kian White is not much of a run defender. And then Jayden Dugger is, I mean, is he an asset in his first start? Fred Warner, great player. But can he do it all? I mean, he can't do it all by himself. And then there's Dre Greenlaw. To me, Dre Greenlaw is as important as anyone in this game. He might be one, he's one of the most important players in this game. When he played the last time he was with the Niners, he came back for the Rams game. And he was great. But he only played one half. Was it one half? It's a two years ago. And I'm tired. If he can do that again, I think the Niners run defense will be just fine. But I don't know if he's that player anymore. I don't know if he's that dynamic anymore. I think if Greenlaw has a monster vintage Greenlaw game, the Niners will be fine. If he doesn't, I think that there's a very real possibility that they just get gouged on the ground. That Corm goes for 50 and Kyron Williams goes for 100 and they score like three touchdowns on the

ground. I don't know. That's my concern. I was really concerned about Raheem Morris, but then he shouted me out and his press conference a couple of days ago. Now I'm less concerned about Raheem Morris. I don't know what it is, but I'm feeling more confident about his ability to lead his his players and to come up with the right game plans and half time adjustments. I just feel like the fact that it has nothing to do with the fact that he publicly acknowledged acknowledged me and that made my ego feel good. It doesn't have anything to do with that. I just had a change of heart that coincided with him shouting me out. So no, I think he's a good coach. No, this is me really getting one over by someone just acknowledging me. I think he's a good coach. He's been around a long time. I mean, has he established himself as an elite defensive coordinator? No, he hasn't. But I think he has established himself as a good defensive coordinator who would be in demand if he weren't here. And my question with the defense really goes back to Lynch.

Does he have the players he needs to do what he wants to do? This is a reason why Jaden Dugger is in consideration to start because who else you got to play? Luke Gifford? Nick Martin. Like what are your options here? Ramello, who else you going to play? I don't know. John Lynch isn't big on drafting ed rushers. Remember Peter Tomapino? I do. I do. All right, one more. All right. These are some questions I got today. I did a mailbag on the flight over here. United has good Wi-Fi unlike Southwest. The nastiest, skanchiest, most awful hate Southwest. I

used to like Southwest, man. Forget Southwest. Dead to me. Although I'm going to have to use them all the time during the season, but that's neither here nor there. What I want to talk about is Dajon's tripling. And when will he officially become the number one wide receiver on this team? Because the way I see it is right now, he's the most talented, no, no, no, he's the best wide receiver on the team right now. No qualifications, best, simple. The only thing holding him back is the fact that he has to learn this super complicated offense. And if he has any tiny mistake, the littlest mistake, they're going to go hard on him because he's young and they're going to let Dibo Samuel jog around the field when he doesn't get the ball because he's friends with Kyle Shanahan, pisses me off. I've been happening for years. But yeah, tough love for the rook. I get it. But also meritocracy player, player best player. It's just who's 24 already anyway. That's not really a rookie I've ever heard of. So glorified. I mean, poor man's vet.

So I think it's pretty obvious that the Niners want Mike Evans to be their number one wide receiver. And they're going to target him as such early in the season while he's healthy. Also, you can't rule out Dibo Samuel actually starting. I think they're going to stubbornly make Dejan struggling the slot receiver. Like the number three guy, even though he clearly showed in preseason that he's ready for more, they're just going to stick with the plan and not adjust to facts, objective reality in front of them. Fine. But the thing with Mike Evans is he shouldn't be an imbo and wide receiver this point in his career. He is just going to get him hurt. He'd be much better as a number two or even a number three. Someone that doesn't play that much, but you pick your you pick a spots. And when he does catch the ball, it's first downs, touchdowns, fourth quarter, third, you know, like right when you really when you need him. Boundling is what's going to happen. I think they're going to try to justify the signing and, you know, uh, own the haters and all that

stuff and they're going to go to him a lot week one week two. And we'll see, you know, he eventually he's going to miss a quarter or a half or a game. Just like he missed a bunch of practices. And there's no way. I just don't think he's playing 17 games this year. And then they're going to have the targets. This they're going to have to give his targets to someone else. And I would hope it would go to a stripling. I would think that there's going to be enough public pressure from fans and media people as long as he's playing well. That if they lose a game and he gets three catches and Debo gets seven people are going to flip out as they should. So I think by October, it'll be pretty obvious to everyone. Even Kyle standing in that stripling is the best receiver on the team. Oh, he might be the last man standing considering everyone else is 47 years old in this in this room. But thank God they drafted him. I was so down on this pick when they made it in hindsight. Well, we'll see what he does in the regular season. But I think they did need his skill set. I think his four three speed, his physicality, his, uh, fearlessness over the middle, his, uh, head eye coordination is, is wing span. I think they need all of it. And it really differentiates

him from everyone else. Mike Evans doesn't have that speed. Debo Samuel doesn't have that frame. Now, I don't know if he's going to be a pro bowl or is a rookie, but I think they should want to get him 70 catches and a thousand yards. And if Debo plays more than stripping this year, if Kyle, you strike plays more than stripping this year, I'm going to freaking lose it all the way from Australia. I'm going to go to Australia, throw a history fit, come back. Danger zone says hit me up and I'll show you around for sure, danger zone. Again, I tell you, I was, I was, I watched a top gun last night first time. Right into the danger zone. So the whole movie is about flight instruction school. They're not even in combat, but goose dies anyway. What the fuck? It's so confusing. Stuart says, uh, where's your Niners? Helm and Grant? You playing wide receiver? No, man, they need to de-end. Mark Brenn is 5189 says Grant, let us know about your adventures

with Australian cuisine. You can start with a Vegemite mate. Oh, you already know I'm getting me some Vegemite. Do you come from a land down and, uh, yes, I do. Yes, I do. Chimp Squadron says find the nearest bar. You'll learn AFL in 10 minutes. I'm going to the game. I'm one of the fans. Stribbling it is a much needed improvement than Jawan says Frank Debo. Yeah, I think they're, they're, well, we'll see. He has to do it in a real game first, but yeah, I think that could be the case. Absolutely. All right, folks, words of wisdom, pulse, LV says Grant, check for tarantulas under your bit. Man, fuck you guys. Stop it. Okay. If you're, if you're going to watch my streams, you guys got to be nice. Don't scare me. Dude, if I see a fucking tarantulas, where do I gotta, where do I gotta? That being said, I feel like tiny spiders are even scarier because they sneak up on you. Tarantula, I feel like you see that shit coming from a lot of way. Booth.

It can't, it can't, once I got, once I lock eyes in the tarantula, what's it gonna do? Jump on me? Run away? No. All I need is a shoe and it's over. I got shoes. Come see me. Come see me, tarantula. All right, I'm gonna get some lunch in a cup of coffee. I don't want to go to bed. If I take a nap, I don't think I'm making it to this game tonight and this is a very big game. It's a huge game between hold on. I have the ticket. It's between the Jolong cats and hold on. The Jolong cats and Carlton. Just Carlton. Are they named after the guy from

Fresh Prince of Bel Air? Probably not. But I don't know who I'm rooting for. I'm gonna have to see who I'm sitting next to, then I'm rooting for them. Carlton Blues. Carlton Blues. So the cats and the blues. Oh my god, I like blues clues. If someone calls you a cunt, it means you're cool. Love that. I hope they do. I hope someone calls me a cunt tonight. I've always wanted to be called a cunt. Please don't demonetize me. It's an Australian term of endearment YouTube. It's an Australian term of endearment. It means nice things. Apparently. How do all you people know about these things? How did eight people know about the Carlton Blues in here? I guess there's a lot of Niner fans out here in Australia. Australia. It's not Australia. It's Australia. And it's Melbourne. All right guys, thanks for watching.

It's one, where's it? Like eight o'clock in California. I'm just getting started, folks. You're gonna be asleep and I'm gonna be watching Rugby. No, Australian rules football. It's not rugby. It's different. Read my super chat. Buck. Lay eggs in your hair, Translope. Buck you. Thanks for watching everyone. I really appreciate you. Goodbye.
