Hi, everyone. Welcome to talks with Gallagher. I'm just so delighted to have Christian Elisha, who is a modern-day prophetic voice, revivalist, and is the founder of Arise Kingdom Ministries. She carries a passionate, anointing to see people encounter the wild love of Jesus. Be set free from generational giants and step into their end-time assignment in the Kingdom. Christian ministers and interhealing and deliverance and helps equip believers to walk confidently in the authority of Jesus Christ, signs and wonders following throughout her teaching and podcasting and live events. She is raising up a generation that is not just informed but ignited to carry the fire of God to every sphere of culture and influence. I'm just so just so excited, so happy to have my sister Christ, Christa, with us on Talk to Gallagher. Thanks for being on. I had you on last year, quite a few months ago,
talking about your book, Born for Battle, but tonight we're going to be talking about the neural science of trauma, which I got all geeked out when I heard that that's going to be our topic for tonight, and trauma is a really huge topic, really important topic, because we all experience trauma in various ways, various degrees, and I think it's going to help a lot of people who are either, you know, who have experienced trauma, or know someone's experienced trauma, or is knowing that they are dealing with trauma, but want to be an overcomer in that and want to walk into our greater fullness what God has for their life. So thank you again, Christa, for being on Talk to Gallagher today. Yeah, thanks so much for inviting me. I had a lot of fun the last time that I was on, and we just had a great conversation, and you know, there are people that like you just meet, and you instantly just click with them, you connect with them, and I really felt that way with you, John, and so I was super excited to be
invited back on for sure, and to bless your audience, and you know, collaborate. I think that that is really important, King Demork as well, and it's really, you know, a lot of a lot of my content is rooted in the prophetic, or helping prophets overcome trauma, or their woundedness, because I was that person, and Jesus healed me, and he delivered me. I think that it's the last couple years that there's been a real focus for me personally on deliverance ministry, and spiritual warfare, but it's really important to have the conversation that, you know, deliverance and inner healing and discipleship are a total package for believers to actually step into that place of being able to be overcomers, and I'm so excited to be able to share this. This is actually like not something
that I've talked about publicly. Yeah, so I have done trauma teachings, and I've done a few like inner healing, equipping, like in-person events, because I do a lot of equipping. Most of everything that I do, I want it to be reproducible, and so that's a big thing for me, like I want to be able to teach you the basics so that you can walk in it. That's what we're called to do is five-fold people, so I have done that, and then I did write about it briefly in my book Born for Battle, but the topic itself I could write, I could write five books on, and so it's really, really deep and really, really rich, and it involves, you know, our mind and our physical bodies and our souls. So it's a total package, and it's directly connected to deliverance. So
I'll get into some of that. I felt like tonight, just one sort of explaining like what exactly is trauma, and how does it affect us personally, and then talking about some of the spiritual and biblical implications that are connected to trauma, and then what Jesus came to do to heal us of our trauma, and then to give you just a couple like biblical practices that are proven scientifically today to heal your mind, your soul, and your physical body, which is crazy. Excellent. But first of all, did you have any questions that you wanted to ask before we get into it? Well, I think for our audience listening, we have, you know, both emerging leaders and seasoned leaders listening and watching this podcast, and so I think let's maybe provide maybe a foundational level, and then kind of go deep as much as we can as well.
For sure. Yeah, so I'm like wondering like, you know, how would you fully define a trauma, because it seems like sometimes the word can be overused or not used in its full, you know, proper context. So can you just give us like what trauma is crystal-liceless definition of trauma? Yeah, so my definition of trauma, and actually even the word trauma, like in the Greek, it is interpreted as wound. So it is an invisible wound on your inner person, or on your physical person. When I'm speaking of trauma, I'm not speaking of physical trauma. I'm speaking of internal trauma. So the trauma that affects our mind, our desires, and our emotions. And you know, when we look at the different types of trauma that can impact a person, there's one thing that I have noticed, and that is like, okay, for me, for example,
I've had really, really crazy intense traumatic events in my life from, you know, all sorts of terrible abuse and, you know, near death experiences, and, you know, also deep grieving experiences, and I mean, all sorts of things. But I can talk to a person who maybe has not been through the type of stuff that I have went through, but what they went through affects them the exact same way as I, I would be affected in experiencing my own level of trauma. And so it's not, we don't judge trauma on like a scale, like my trauma is more. So there's something wrong with you. If you're affected very deeply by something that might not seem a big deal. The, the basis is that one, it is affected you. And that too, it has actually implanted a demonic lie in the core of your
being that prevents you from being able to trust God and to trust people. It completely distorts your worldview. And they operate, trauma operates on a subconscious level. So our whole life, even though we don't realize it, we are, we're wired for self preservation and for protection, right? So if we are wired that way, and our nervous system by God, for safety, security, to need to be seen and acknowledged and understood, and to also need to be soothing, like when we're hurt, if we're wired for those things, because technically, like we're wired for love, that's what those four needs are. It's like it's the foundation for love and secure attachment. But when any of those things are, I should say, if we don't receive those things, then it fundamentally creates
a, a undercurrent belief system of our diminished value and not having safety in the world. And we will constantly be living on high alert and it affects our brain and our gene expression, which is even crazier. So like, you know, the Bible says that sin, the wages of sin is death, right? Well, if the word sin needs to fall short of God's perfect love, right? Because love is the, the ultimate aim. And Jesus even said that if we love, then we would not fall, like the law is fulfilled in the law of love, right? So when we are loving correctly, we cannot sin, right? But if sin, so when love has not measured up, it creates death, it's totally true. So because the way we think, it actually changes our gene expression. So I know, it's so crazy, but
when scripture says, as a man thinks in his heart, so he is, so he is, so he is, like, this is a literal, you know? Wow. I mean, I asked, I like to ask it this way, like, you know, think about it for a second, like, what is really hindering you from living in your full potential? Right. Right? Like, think about it for a second. Like, what actually limits you when Jesus said, for those who have faith, nothing shall be impossible, right? Right. Well, faith is what? It's trust. Right? Well, who are we to have trust in God? And that's a mindset. Yeah, it is. It's a mindset. When you really trust God, when you really believe that He loves you and has the best for you, then nothing is impossible for you. So all of our limitations, they all begin and end between our ears. Yeah, that's, that's so good to put into perspective,
that the battle is not necessarily external, but it is first internal, you know, the battle full of the mind, right? I might have Joyce Meyer's book. Yes. And, you know, knowing how to navigate, you know, your thoughts and taking every thought captive, right, under the submission of Jesus Christ, right? Absolutely. And how we need to, you know, just have a, a kingdom, biblical filter on the thoughts that we think, not just letting that thought, you know, take root into our minds, but take every thought captive. Every thought, every thought, every thought, not just, you know, the convenient thoughts, what all the thoughts, all the thoughts captive to the obedience of Christ is so important. And, you know, I tell people all the time, I actually really like the passion translations version of that scripture because it says we take every thought and like they are rebellious or like hostages and we force them to the obedience of Christ. And I mentioned in my book, Born for Battle, that, you know, for years when I first got
saved, I, one of the biggest things that I had to go through, you know, I was an IV drug addict, I lived a really messed up life. It was like, as soon as I got saved, I realized that all of my initial impulses or instincts were completely wrong. They were not, they were not like Jesus at all. And I had to completely learn how to live again. I had to deconstruct everything that I thought, you know, and I had to be rebuilt in the truth of Jesus Christ. And that, that started with me taking his word and meditating on it, declaring it, discovering, doing mental audits, discovering, you know, hey, actually that, that just passed through my head, that didn't sound like Jesus, you know, like that produced hope, life, a future, righteousness, peace, or joy in the Holy Ghost. So that's not the Lord, right? Not Jesus. And no matter where it comes from,
it's not him. So it's in submission to Jesus right now. And then there were even times where I would hear straight up, just crazy stuff. And I would literally have to stop dead in my tracks, no matter where I was, I could be in a crowded bus downtown. I think I probably scared an old lady on the street one time. But I would completely stop. And I would speak out of my mouth, like declare like I was in a fight with somebody, the exact opposite of whatever I just heard past my head, past through my head. And that revolutionized my life. And what I noticed was that, you know, secrets, they, they fester, you know, they fester in darkness. But the moment that I would speak something out of my mouth, the lie or, you know, the, the temptation or the enemy trying to get me caught in temptation, it was exposed out in the light. And it would shrivel up and die. And as I began to
just practice and live that sort of life and be that militant about it, I watched my entire world completely transform. And I'm so grateful that like the Lord taught me that really early on. But a lot of those belief systems and like, initial responses that I had, it was because I had complex PTSD. And as a Christian, I, you know, it might sound crazy, but I believed like I think most Christians do. You get saved and like, you're supernaturally in love with Jesus, living and like on cloud nine, everything's awesome. And you totally neglect that you still have a soul. You completely neglect that you still have a history, right? That Jesus was not a part of. You know, you just want to move on in your faith. You want to pretend like it's just all spiritual, you know, and that is actually super immature. And it's not biblical and it's not like actually
true. Like we have to realize that we do have souls that, yes, everything is spiritual, but it's also natural at the same time. And that there is often a process between what is happening in the spiritual, what happens in our souls, and then what manifests in the, in the natural. It's all a process. And really, honestly, the process starts as we begin to agree with a higher spiritual reality. And that sort of sets in motion, all the other things. Now, my own journey, I didn't realize I'd, you know, I'd been saved for, you know, a couple of years. And I was after like the honeymoon phase of salvation went off. And I started to experience some junk in church and like just in my life that I didn't have answers for. I began to really seek the Lord. Like I would wake up in the morning. I would have anxiety that was so bad. I would literally like shake.
And I was a hairdresser. So I couldn't go to work and use scissors shaking, you know, and I would have to spend two hours alone with the Lord every morning. And I had a, like a system in the way that I spent time with him. It was that if I had two hours, I was going to sing to him for probably an hour and a half. And in that hour and a half, I would feel myself go from, you know, completely unmanageable like out of my mind to forcing myself into submission and surrender. And then I would finally be like released into clarity and peace and security. And I would begin to see visions. God would begin to talk to me. And he a lot of times he would minister to me about my identity and about his identity. And he would minister to me. He would often start taking me back into traumatic memories like into very, very painful memories. But what was
different is that like rather than going back there and me being the victim, he would be there. And he would speak the truth to me where like I would see like the enemy trying to so lies into my life about who I was or about my value. For example, I went through a lot of, you know, sexual abuse. And one of the, I remember looking in the mirror the first time that I was assaulted and thinking, well, you're ruined now. There's like, you know, you were supposed to stay a virgin. But now you're just trash. Like, no man is really going to want you and you're dirty. And I remember that. And like that moment, I remember. And from then on out, I had this default belief about myself that I was just dirty. And I couldn't scrub the filth off of me,
even though I was a victim, right? Yeah. And I had Jesus enter that memory. And I was looking at myself in the mirror. And then all of a sudden, the image like my reflection turned in Jesus. Wow. And then Jesus came out of the mirror. And he put his white robe on me. And it was like, I was in the bathroom. And like he had just like his water, his word was coming. And it was washing me clean from all of the lies, all of the dirt, all of the abuse, all of the shame. And you know, the victim's guilt, that's a real thing. And I could, I felt it leave my body. And then he was showing me, he said, you are my pure princess. He said, purity is a gift from me like righteousness. I've put it on you. And it cannot be stolen from you. It cannot be taken away from you. And so he was restoring my identity from that deep trauma. And then he would hug me. And I would feel parts of
my broken heart come back together. And he did this for like four years, four years every day. And I didn't realize until I started doing deliverance ministry, that all of those lies and the anxiety and the things that I was experiencing as far as like trauma were concerned, were triggers. Now I realized that those, what I was in a suspended state of chronic PTSD triggered. And what we refer to that now in our ministry and in the protocol that I have for interhealing is we call it a soul fracture. So it's an alternate personality that is all the way forward, that is trapped in, in the traumatic events, like reliving the traumatic event in their physical body. So I was living like that for years until the Lord began to reintegrate those
parts and heal me with the truth, like his word heals. I know, like it's so clever, like every word he speaks to us heals us or it helps us. Hallelujah. And so he was healing all of these broken pieces. And then one day I just realized that I didn't have triggers anymore. I didn't struggle anymore. Like I wasn't having anxiety anymore. I mean, I would even today, I'm not saying that I don't get stressed out. But it's totally different. Like if I before, if I had somebody like accused me of something, even if I was innocent, it would completely be totally debilitating to me to the point where I couldn't function. Or it would just eat my lunch. You know what I'm talking about? Like when somebody hurts your feeling and they just, it just eats your lunch. You can't stop thinking about it. Like it would control my life. I don't deal with any of that anymore. Wow. Like I risk. I know it's like I you get deliverance from yourself.
Yeah. That's huge. That's huge. That's huge. That's real. That's real. Is when you get freedom from from yourself and your own wounds and your own limitations. And yeah, I don't deal with any of that anymore. I mean, I think I could probably, well, I have demons cuss at me all the time. I so I have people say some of the most foul things ever about me. I mean, I have websites that are dedicated to try to prove that I'm a false prophet. That hurts my children's fillings, but I just laugh at it because I'm so secure in God's love. And you know, and he's the one who soothes me when my heart hurts. He's the one who gives me security. He's the one who provides me with safety. And he's the only one that really sees me for who I am and understands me. And that's if I make a mistake or if my heart's, you know, motive is wrong,
or if I'm truly trying to do the best that I can. And I still just messed up because I didn't know the right way to do it. It doesn't matter like he knows me. And he has grace for me. And he knows me better than I do. So oftentimes when he comes to correct me, it's really just him telling me or reminding me of who I am and him, not in what I thought I was because the world told me. That's huge right there. I think what you just said right now is going to set a lot of people free because true sets you free, right? Yes, absolutely. And the Bible says that in the last days, because of lawlessness, right? The sin of lawlessness, which means like people completely not loving one another at all, that the love of many would grow cold, right? Yeah. And you know, we are absolutely in that day. I think that, you know, most of the leaders that I talk to, especially I was just
talking to a precious man of God last week and was ministering to him because he's really stepped out in faith and he's been, you know, posting some stuff on social media. And he was astonished at all of the Christians who started attacking him for preaching on things like the fivefold. Wow. I know. And I'm like, you know, that's the whole gospel. That's like, that's what it, what presents in the New Testament. I mean, that's the kingdom being demonstrated, you know, on year of today, right? Absolutely. 100%. Yeah. And yeah, that it is wild. But I have to affirm him. And I have to say, yeah, man, that we, I think one of the most nefarious things that the enemy can do is, um, close himself and sheepskin. And then no, no all the scriptures, but not know the
person of Jesus and then use people, you know, to actually like wound other Christians to get them to believe that what they're doing is wrong when Jesus is invited them into something or as asked them to step out and obedience. I have people like that. I mean, I'm a woman. I have piercings. I have tattoos. I love wild colors. I'm, you know, my husband is my apostolic support, but I'm the face, you know, and I wear lipstick. Oh my God. And I get accused of some of the craziest stuff. And I just have to laugh at people and actually, I don't even laugh. I actually really grieve for them because I, I am so secure now, um, that I, I know like if I see them someday in heaven, like Jesus is going to have to have a talk with them, right? I mean, like Jesus, they're going to have to have, they are going to have a literal come to Jesus moment when they reach the pearly gates someday
and all of the moments of their life passed before their eyes. And guess what? I'm going to be one of the things that is going to come up that they're going to have to hold an account for. Right? That's right. And that is true for every single believer. Every single one of us, we are going to have to go through that. And we're going to have to be held to account. Right? And now we're going to get into heaven, but I just, is it wrong for me to want to ace it? You know, like I just want to ace the test. I just want to love people really well. I don't want to assume things about people. I want to give people the benefit of the doubt. And most importantly, I never want a mistake a wounded person for a demon. Wow. Yeah, that's so huge right there because that requires discernment. But if you approach it, you know, oh, you know, just rightly, then you can have better precision in how to, how to navigate that.
Yeah. But just a lot of thoughts that came to my mind as you're sharing all this. And if you don't mind, I look for us to touch on something here that was brought up. You were mentioning earlier about how trauma is a wound. And I'm reminded about, you know, how, you know, some talk, well, not sometimes probably most of the time, you know, there's people probably watching that have mother and father wounds, right? I think you have a significant impact, right? I'm how you hear from God, right? How you understand who God is, how you see who God is, right? How you interpret and understand scripture and such. And yeah, just the full package, right? So I'm just curious from your knowledge bank and all that, that, you know, from that prophetic deliverance apostolic lens, what would you say to people that consciously are aware of having a father and mother wound? And then those that, you know, don't even realize they have that wound, but it's, it's hindering their, their progress in the relationship with God. Yeah. So I, this is, that's a really good question
because, you know, it's so interesting that when the Lord reveals himself, he reveals himself as a family unit. So we have Jesus, the son or the elder brother, the family, you know, the, the peer, right? Then we have the father and we have the Holy Spirit who functions very much like a mother. The same word used in the Greek for Holy Spirit paracletus is, is the same word that's used for a mother or a wife, one who's called alongside as a helpmate, the comforter, the teacher, whereas the father is the one who imparts identity and, and provision. So the God in God is, is all of our relational needs, like all of our relational needs can be met and be healed in him, which is wild. Yes. Um, I actually even have two chapters in my book, born for battle that talk exactly about these things, about the womb love of God and the father heart of God. So the, the,
womb mother, God, it's called requiem and the Hebrew, but it means to be compelled or moved by deep compassion. It's the same word that is like what happens to a mother when she hears her baby cry and she begins to lactate like her whole body viscerally responds to her baby's cry. Um, and Jesus even uses that word when he's, in the passage where he's weeping over Jerusalem, where he's saying how I have long to take you under my wings, Jerusalem, Jerusalem, um, but you rejected me, you know, so that is the God's love is like a mother that is compelled to act when we hurt, right? Right. And so many people that have deep mother wounds, all they are looking for is comfort. And that trauma will drive you to try to find relief from your pain in other places, oftentimes drugs or, you know, addictions and things like that food, um,
whatever it is. And when we realize like, hey, this is something that like I feel like I have to have this for comfort, it's a false Holy Spirit. And it's a trigger that, you know, once you're aware, it's God inviting you to come and experience his requiem or his mother love, his womb love, um, that totally encompasses us and nurtures us, you know, and, and tends to our, our boo boo's, our pains, you know, um, and for father wounds, I mean, like my, that whole season for me, uh, where I was encountering the Lord, it was always the Father. I would always have the Father turn up. And I didn't even really realize what was happening, um, until, you know, one day the Lord was like, oh, hey, by the way, you're halfway through your first book. And I'm like, oh my gosh, because I literally believed I was too retarded. Like that's my, that was my belief that I was too
retarded to write a book, because I was a high school dropout. And I, I was a slow learner when I first started. Um, if anything guy, like I literally wrote two books at the same time, it's what, what God has done in my life today, it's all because of him healing my mind, my thoughts. When, when your thoughts change, your, your, the capacity of your brain will increase. I mean, I'm telling you, it's, I'm proof out there. I was diagnosed with severe learning disabilities. I was in, um, and special education classes until I was in high school. Um, I did not pass high school. I even flung, I flung to college because of pre algebra. Well, algebra was not my, um, but pre algebra, pre algebra, John. Oh, okay. Well, living miracle and testimony. Yes. Of how, um, you know, coming into the full identity of the father, the truths of the father
that he's spoken over you from the word of God brought about a supernatural deliverance where you are now a genius in the spirit and helping others come, it be set free. Yeah. It's their fullness, but I'm reminded about like the scientific term of like neuroplasticity. Yes. You know, can you share a little bit about neuroplasticity? How that can be? Yes. Absolutely. Yeah. And so all of that, I went through plus traumatic brain injuries, multiple traumatic brain injuries, injuries. Yes. And when I use the, when I use the R word, I mean that clinically, I'm not, I'm not saying that is like a, you know, an insult. I'm saying that people told me that clinically, that I was delayed, that I was retarded in my maturity and in my ability to live and to thrive and to think into function. So, um, and I, it was not just me, it was my other siblings as well. So this was a clinical diagnosis and it's
not true. Yeah. And yes, God, the one organ of our body that God created that can regenerate itself, that can expand and can grow and can change is our brain and our nervous system through neuroplasticity. And that's where our thoughts literally re can rewire our brain's capacity for learning, for new experiences, for unlocking greater dimensions of, you know, what our brain is even possible to do. And through that, there's epigenetics and epigenetics are the way that our thoughts literally express what is, what comes out in our genes. So if we have, say we have markers for disease in our genes, here's a really good example, real life example. I took my, my DNA, I actually got a few of them done because I just wanted to see like what
the different, you know, ancestry and 23 and me and all them, you know, had to say, well, I, it's proven in my DNA that I am not genetically disposition to be a self starter. That I am not genetically disposed to be an entrepreneurial or to be self-motivated. You laugh because no me. Because that's not true. But I know when that changed, I know when that changed. And that was when I had an encounter with God where I was literally like baptized in his love. And I went into a vision where I was in a salon that belonged to me. I had never been my own boss before. I thought that I was going to work for the same person for my whole life. I needed to have somebody tell me when to show up and what to do. And then I have this encounter and to make it even, you know,
crazy or a guy that I didn't know came over to me while I'm in this vision. And he starts prophesying over me about this business that I'm going to open. It's going to change my city. And that God was calling me to it. And he didn't know me from nobody. And literally in that encounter, there was something in me that shifted that said, this does not feel like who I am. I don't even know how I'm going to do this. But I am so crazy in love with God that no matter what he asked me to do, I'm going to believe that he's going to help me do it because he wants it done. And so I love him enough to do it because love is compelled by action. And that literally shifted something inside of my brain, right? So neuroplasticity. And then all of a sudden, I start like dreaming about what it would be like if I had my own Christian business. And how can I help change people's lives through encountering them at the salon? And like my salon was actually
the very first hub that I opened. And you know, I still was going through this season of this crazy trauma, you know, like God healing this trauma. And the Lord used that in my obedience to actually heal me from my abandonment wounds, where I believe that God wouldn't show up for me and provide for me that I had to provide for myself. And he completely demolished those experientially and like in my actual life, but also in the secret place as I was coming up against obstacles to walking out his will in my life. And it literally changed my gene expression. So although that's not naturally who I am, I am supernaturally who Jesus has created me to be. And when you think about that, it's crazy too, because you know, we're the pop like he's the potter, we're the clay. Like what a picture of like him forming us through our belief system.
Yeah, that's that's really key. Yeah. It's really key. Yeah, because you're you're integrating it on a more of a practical level, on a lifestyle, you know, on a daily basis. And then, you know, that gets worked into your routine, into your and then, you know, you find yourself kind of it's like, you know, like muscle memory, you know, I'm reminded of sports. You do it with practice, repetition, all that almost becomes automatic, but it's an initial that initial discipline to create that that action of, you know, doing that day, you know, exercising that daily in your in your life. And then it becomes like kind of, you know, that essence of part of you, right? Yeah, absolutely. It's that it's the second nature. And it's that's the way that like, you know, I get strongholds or neuropath ways in our brain's work. So when Paul said like we tear down strongholds, like a stronghold is like an enemy fortified belief system. And it could be emotional
and it could be just thinking, right? Or oftentimes it's connected. And so oftentimes in deliverance, we actually have to invite Jesus into a memory where that lie, that foundational lie that built that the stronghold is built on, where it is demolished with the truth of Jesus. And then afterwards, we tell people, you know, you're probably going to leave this session and you might not feel too crazy different tomorrow. So you have to continue to think the truth. You have to put it in front of you. I tell people we give them a picture of their encounter with Jesus in that moment with the scripture or the word underneath it. We tell them to put it on their screensaver on their phone or put post it notes on their mirrors or wherever they are that has the truth of what Jesus says and that they have to decree that at least seven times a day so that within 21 days, they will have a new neuropath way formed that is a default belief system
of truth. And that's when you begin to really experience the breakthrough. That's where you see the fruit being produced, right? That's where you see the fruit of the breakthrough. So the ministry time, it's an encounter, but then it actually takes 21 days for that to become your default rather than the dysfunction, you know. But ultimately, like all all trauma is it's really about fractured soul or fractured identity. Perfect. Because the soul can be fractured when it experiences a lot of trauma, correct? Yeah. So I teach the Isaiah 61 restoration pathway is what I call it. But it's Isaiah 61, when you break it down into the original language, which we all know that Jesus was a noise, he was the one that was anointed with eyes with this passage, okay? Where the spirit of the sovereign Lord is
upon me because he's anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He sent me to bind up the broken hearted and to proclaim freedom for the captives, right? Yes. So that was the that was Jesus. He read that scroll, you know, I think it was like in what Luke or something can't remember exactly which gospel that he said this has been fulfilled today. And the way that I teach this is that the sovereign, the spirit of the sovereign Lord, that is actually whenever we see that, that's the military might of God. So this is the war mantle of Yahweh put on Jesus and now put on us through the Holy Spirit with executive power and war like energy to accomplish heaven's purposes. That's what this is. And it says to proclaim good news to the poor while the poor here is translated as like the humble and afflicted. So those who recognize like I am afflicted, I am hurting,
I'm in need of help, and I am I'm willing to go low to be healed whatever it looks like, right? And then to bind up the broken hearted will in the original language that word to bind up, it literally means to fill in a wound to fasten together with a strengthening material or to cement together or cause multiple fragments to cohere in one firm mass. That's what that word bind means. And then the broken hearted in the Hebrew construct, what the literal translation is the shattered, fragmented inner man that makes up the soul, which is the mind, the desires or the motivations and the emotions and the memory of a man. That's that's the original text. And that's exactly what we do in inner healing. So
when you are traumatized, it's the enemy, it's like the siege engine of the enemy. He comes in and he breaks you down, right? And he fractures your heart or your soul. And he penetrates your thoughts, your desires, your motivations and your emotions with his lies so that he can take root in you and live vicariously through you, right? So Jesus has to come in and he sees all those broken places, which are other identities. They're all two personalities that carry the pain for us so that our core personality can continue to function a normal for the most part, normal life, right? Right. It's almost possible. Yes. But those fractures are those alter identities. Their job is to protect the core identity from experiencing that kind of
trauma again. And this is where we get triggers. So as soon as a triggering event happens, where our subconscious mind detects a scenario in which we are being reintroduced to a trauma or to pain, that other personality will come like online and come forward. And that's why like, you know, I can most women all understand me when I say this, but like when you're talking to your husband and you're like, Hey, are you going to do the dishes like you told me to do? Are like you told me you were going to do? And then he's like, yeah, I'll get to it in a minute. And then you come back like 15 minutes later and you're like, Hey, I need you to do the dishes because you said you were going to do that. And then all of a sudden he goes from being a grown man to being a whole 12 year old boy. And it's like, you're not my mom. Don't tell me what to do.
Come on, like we've all been guilty of that. I've done the same thing with my husband. And that is a boy with a mother wound who has felt disrespected by his mother or overpowered by his mother. And that 12 year old personality comes out the rebellious teenager to protect himself from that trauma again with another mother or woman figure. Right. And so we see this all over in our lives. And when you are aware of it, of these things coming forward, having real visceral responses like that is actually just an invitation to be with Jesus and to ask him like, Hey, why is this there? Right? Like why is this other personality here carrying this pain? And Jesus, would you reveal to me the lie that happened here? And then as soon as he reveals it, you renounce it. And then you ask him for the truth. What is your truth? What do you want to give me an exchange
for this? See, that's Isaiah 61, the great exchange. She gives beauty for ashes, joy for mourning, and praise for heaviness, right? So it's all in alignment with scripture. And the blueprint is right there. Jesus taught us how to do this. And then it goes on and it talks about to proclaim the year the Lord's favor and the vengeance of our God against his enemies. Well, that's deliverance. Right. Right. But first you've got to heal a person in their inner man. And you have to deconstruct the strongholds or the fortifications of trauma that demons hide behind. And once that trauma is healed, that that broken, you know, that ultra personality is reintegrated into the core identity. And then the demon is exposed. And then we can cast out the demon who broke into that person's life. Because the enemy was taking advantage over that soul fragment, right? Yeah. I'm really curious
when it comes to soul fragments and like mind control, because I've also heard that there's a possible connection with that as well. But we also tell about triggers to, but still from that psychological standpoint, being subconscious, like, what are your thoughts on on all of that? Like, so I've noticed, so when I am doing inner healing and deliverance, my goal is I want to, I don't just want to do one of the other. I want to find all of the ultra personalities that are carrying pain that are trying to protect the core identity. I want to heal all of those identities and I want to reintegrate them to the core identity. So the person's inner man is one. Then in that process, I'm going to expose all the disembodied personalities of demons who are reinforcing traumatic events in order to kind of dig their heels or their anchors into a person's
life substantially deeper through their agreement, right? So what I've noticed is that I could do inner healing on a person and say, you know, they really struggled with like bitterness or unforgiveness, right? And you minister to the person, Jesus comes into that memory and they release forgiveness to their, you know, whoever hurt them, right? But you don't deal with the demon that's behind the bitterness and the unforgiveness. That's another voice. That's key. I think that's key to differentiate. Yes. So imagine it like this. If I am a, like, I'm a, I'm somebody who is taking hostages, okay? So I'm a bad guy. I'm a criminal. And I take, you know, you as a hostage, okay? Just as an example. I separate you from, you know, your group. I drag you into where I want you.
I isolate you alone. I abuse you. I torture you. And I break you down mentally, okay? And emotionally so that you are subject to my control, right? Then what I do is I want to use you as a shield. Okay? So if I'm trying to get out of a situation like, oh my gosh, they found out that I'm here. They're coming after me. What am I going to do? I'm going to grab you and you're going to be my shield. I'm going to put you in front of me so that the person who is coming in to try to rescue you, who wants to take me out, they've got to go through you before they can get to me. Okay? This is how demons operate. Okay? They break your heart, your soul, create burden or pain-bearing personalities that they can then hide behind. Then they use lies on repeats in your mind, you know, rumination, bringing scenarios, causing you to be in anguish over and over and
over again, reliving situations, right? And they break you down mentally and emotionally until you are a victim. You cannot be an overcome or you are a victim. You believe that you are a victim. And you blame everyone else for your situation, right? Rather than turn around and see that there was a demon that was behind your pain that is now using you as a puppet to live vicariously through because you're in agreement with it. And when a deliverance or interhealing minister comes in, when we're doing interhealing, what we're doing is we are actually ministering to the hostage, right? Which is the soul, the broken soul. We're ministering to the hostage and we are getting them to receive the truth that they are not victims, that they were, that their pain was valid, that what they experienced was awful, but that that was not God's best for them. And that Jesus
wants to take that pain, wants to take that whole thing that happened and make something beautiful out of it, right? Right. And then as sometimes people will receive it, sometimes people won't. I've had to stop doing sessions because people believe that the lie is what's protecting them. Oh my goodness. Yeah. And you see it more often than not. Really? Oh man. That's alarming. Wow. It is very alarming, but it happens. I could tell you quite a few scenarios where we've gotten to that place. And you know, some people have come back and they've continued ministry and they've gotten free other ones we couldn't. So we just had to know where we needed to stop. And that was fine. They got a measure of relief, but not everything that Jesus could have given them, because they had other lovers, they had other comfortors, right? Other, not the taskmasters, right? That they believed were giving them power. Like one
example, Odin, for example, is a demon ideal with a lot. And his name means anchorage, hatred, lord of fantasies, the, what is it? The possessor. He's a god of wisdom and enlightenment and award, award deity. And so we see a lot of men and even myself, I know, because I got delivered from this. I believed that anger was actually serving me. I didn't realize that my anger was causing me into slavery, like was forcing me into slavery, because anger made me feel powerful. Right? So I believed I was powerless. That was the lie. I was powerless and I could be easily victimized. But if I got angry and belligerent and I acted dangerous, then that was actually my protection. So I was using a character aspect, the character and nature of a demon to protect myself.
Yeah. And this is a really super common. I mean, super common. And so when I got delivered from Odin, the Lord had to speak to me and he had to take me back into the places where I felt powerless. And he had to tell me, powerlessness is a lie. Anger is not your strength. It is your enemy, right? That unless it is righteous and there is a difference because righteous anger is compelled by love. Unrighteous anger is compelled by self-centered vests. And he said, you are full of power and might by my spirit and no other spirit. And when I realized that and when I accepted that, I was able to get delivered. And I don't struggle with anger anymore. But I used to go to jail over stupid staff, John, like stupid staff I'd go to jail for. Yeah. Thank you so much for unpacking and shedding light on darkness and shedding light on how
darkness operates in the human soul. But that's been compromised by the adversary. I think it's so important to reveal the enemy's strategies, right? Because how can you find an enemy that you don't know exists or how it operates? But yeah, that is so good. I think for people to be aware of how these things can try to warp your thinking. But it just took that truth to set you free and to come out of that slavery and those poor decisions that you were making. And yeah, I think what we've seen today is society. I think especially in the church, you don't
hear the church itself talk a whole lot about trauma. And you sometimes wonder why people aren't making progress and greater depth and development in their walk with God, where it becomes like superficial and secret friendly. Instead of it being all hands on deck, we're in a war. I was just going to say, I was just talking to somebody last night about this. I don't deal with offended, traumatized people. I do, but I don't. I say that because in the movement that I've planted here, I was used to dealing with people, because it's stunned to development. Because if your identity is fractured, it's you're literally all these different younger versions of yourself when that trauma happened,
right? So all of these traumatic children who are wounded and need to be healed are operating backstage. We don't ever know which personality we're talking to. And demons exacerbate trauma. Because see, demons only have as much authority as humans give them. They have to, they have to operate with a human in agreement with them, or they have absolutely no power. They have to have human agreement. So that's what they do. They get all this, you know, Lord of the Flies, like all the broken kids, right? That's inside operating in a human body to come forward to cause chaos and offense and insecurity and like all these things. In my community, because we refuse to be a day care for demons, or for grown children, and we put a demand on the maturity of Christ coming forward in a person's life through inner healing and effective deliverance ministry. Whenever
somebody is offended, whenever they're feeling insecure, whenever they're struggling, whenever somebody triggers that person or the other person or whatever, it's in all of us. It is an invitation to go to the person and say, Hey, I think that I actually need healing in this area. Like I know that the Bible says I'm not supposed to be offended. And so there's something that is not right in me that is telling me that I'm offended with you. And if it's trauma or it's pain, would you just pray with me? And can we invite Jesus into this to see what He is saying? Right? And that's how we operate. We have probably one of the strongest like spiritual communities because all of us operate like this, including myself. I believe it. That's awesome. It is amazing. And like just the, wow, I was so burnt out at trying to shepherd a community
and not having this protocol like because I was dealing with so much drama and drama is demonic. 100%. It's just amazing. I'm so thankful to God for really teaching me the importance of inner healing and deliverance. And I, John, I really believe that the church is really catching on to this stuff. And that, you know, even even people who are, you know, leaders, pastors and stuff that maybe don't carry the same revelation that we do. I'm hearing stories about them even feeling the need for inner healing and deliverance. Like the Pope just like had this huge thing at the Vatican calling all these, you know, priests and, and carnels and stuff to come and get trained again in deliverance because yeah, it's huge. Like God is doing something in this. And I think
that we can fast track our own freedom and our own healing when we devote our time to be with the Lord every day and ask, just do an internal audit. You know, that's the big thing. That's what I call it an internal audit. And whatever he tells you in that, in that audit, the truth that he gives you, you speak it out loud, you decree it or you put it in front of your face for 21 days until it becomes a new foundational truth. And then, you know, the Holy Spirit is so powerful. I had no idea that he was literally helping me heal all of my multiple personality disorder, which I was also diagnosed with. Really? Oh, my goodness. I was diagnosed that I lived in psych wards until I was, you know, in my late teens. And even some time in my adulthood, I lived in juvenile psych wards or whatever. And or detention centers. And the Lord is completely healed me of
all this stuff. So just through that. In my book, I have a devotional. It's called Unbreakable Embrace. And that was the book that it was those encounters that I had every day with the Lord with the father that healed my trauma. And I didn't even have a full revelation of what he was doing. And and it's it's so anointed like people just open the book. And as soon as they read it, they begin to cry, grown men. I've seen grown burly contractor men. And read the first chapter in just tear start streaming down their eyes. And I I didn't even realize like how powerful it was, but it's because it literally begins to speak to those wounded parts. And it gives you decrees and prayers that you can pray that lead you into renunciation and to receiving the truth of the Lord. It's it's my bestseller. And I I would suggest anybody who's listening to this and
you're like, man, I I wish I could encounter the father like that or I wish I had some tools for that. You can go get that book on on Amazon too. It'll you'll find it right next to Born for Battle or Decrees that Deploy Heaven. Yeah, it's on my website too. And I thought it was really cool. So like one of the things that I've been implementing in my inner healing framework is like the the neuro reset, like a nervous system reset. Right. And it's all connected like biblically. It's so wild when you find out how much of the practices that we were called to observe as believers in the New Testament, all our practices that reset our our nervous system. Like being still and know that he is God or here's what here I've got a list of them. So Oh, yeah, please, please share them. Please share them. Yeah. So if y'all are taking notes,
you need to write these down. So the the vagus nerve is the nerve that it's the longest nerve in our body. It goes from our brainstem into our gut. And for a lot of, you know, anxiety, white girlies. Hey, y'all, I'm talking to you. We know each other. Okay. You have digestive issues. You have, you know, celiacs disease, you're dealing with adrenal fatigue and all this stuff. It's because your vagus nerve is offline. It's it's got you wired and fired when it needs to be in rest and digest. And, you know, so this one of the greatest things that you can do to I call it the pathway of peace. The vagus nerve is the pathway of peace is to sing. So singing and worship, scripture commands us to sing to the Lord over 30 times. And it is singing directly stimulates the vagus nerve through its branches and the larynx. And it encourages a paraths sympathetic
response. So if you sing with a group, then you're social referencing, you're engaging with others. So singing, especially singing in a group is an amazing neural exercise of the social engagement system. That's why like when we go to church and we're worshiping with other people, like it does something for our connection, like feeling like we belong in something. But it also helps communities feel connected and safe together. But singing alone stimulates and I should say calms your vagus nerve so that you can actually enter a state of internal peace so your physical body can shift. So it shifts things atmospherically, but it also shifts things internally. So your when your vagus nerve is overstimulated, every organ in your body is on
high alert. And that's what causes adrenal fatigue, gut issues and all of this. But when you sing to the Lord, it shuts down the hyperactivity and puts it into the rest or the go with the flow, like internal frequency, which is amazing. So sing, you've got to sing. Number two is verbal declaration and confession. So this is like rewiring through sound. So faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God, right? So a spoken word though is not just sound. It's actually creative substance. And when we vocalize, we're actually signaling safety to our brain stem, which is really incredible. So humming creates vibration in the vocal cords. It prolongs exhalation and it stimulates again the parasympathetic nervous system or the vagus nerve and the connection between
like the interior circulate cortex in the brain to the autonomic circuit of the vagus nerve and further connections serve as a key path to voice stress output during cognitive and emotional pressure. So when you are experiencing stress like cognitive and emotional pressure and you say things like I'm fearfully and wonderfully made, no weapon formed against me shall prosper. I am not created with a spirit of fear, but love, power and a sound mind through Christ. You're not just quoting scripture. You are mechanically activating your vagus nerve and signaling to your entire autonomic nervous system to shift from flight or fight into rest and digest. I was literally, I'm going to tell you I was literally healed of anxiety disorder that I was on medication for 10 years for because of this.
And I only used one decree. You want to know what my decree was? I just said it a minute ago. I am not created with a spirit of fear, but love, power and a sound mind through Christ. I would just say that over and over and over again, when I was experiencing anxiety and I am literally healed of anxiety now. And God's perfect love casts out all fear, right? It's amazing how this not just affects the physical body, but also the emotional state, the mental state and the spiritual dimension and state as well with what you're sharing. So I love how practical we're getting with this and thank you for sharing these insights. Yeah, no, so the next one guys is Thanksgiving and gratitude. It's a huge one. It's a huge one and it not only does it literally change our ability to perceive
a more beautiful world, right? But it reduces cortisol and it causes neural rewiring. So you know, and Thessalonians, it says in everything, give thanks for this is the will of God and Christ Jesus for you. So it literally comes from the root yada, which means to throw to cast or to extend the hand. So it's like an active physical gesture of acknowledgement. Like thank you God, like for everything that comes in my life. So studies on gratitude found that participants experienced a reduction in cortisol levels and had better heart function when they consistently used gratitude practices. So gratitude practice can lower cortisol levels by up to 23%. It improves heart rate variability and it reduces inflammatory markers and see reactive proteins which cause all cause inflammatory issues. Regularly focusing on gratitude can reduce the amygdala's
reactivity to stressors, which is a part of your brain, the amygdala, and it helps individuals maintain a calmer and more balanced emotional state. So that's just with gratitude. It literally the amygdala is your the brain's reactivity section of your brain that causes stress and causes like the alarm bell hormones to like enter your body. So gratitude is a biological off switch for that alarm. It's incredible. That really is. Well, you're dropping bulbs now. I know. It's so great. Healing bombs. Healing bombs. Like the bull. No, okay. No, um, number four is scripture meditation. And so that's through neuroplasticity and thought replacement. Renewing of the mind. Renewing of the mind. So the Hebrew word for meditate, it means to to speak quietly to one self,
right? So that it's not a silent contemplation. It's like an audible, repeatable visceral over and over again thing that you are saying to yourself on, you know, on repeat in your subconscious or in your mind. Um, I talked about this in my book, Born for Battle, the Butterfly Brain chapter. And I lay out that thoughts are physical protein structures. And after 21 days of repetitive thinking, new neural pathways begin to form after 63 days, they become automated. So every experience is consciously perceived and converted into physical protein structures in your brain. That's what thoughts are. So when Joshua won eight commands, uh, meditation day and night, it prescribes the exact repetition schedule that neuroscience confirms is required for neural pathway formation. God wasn't just like being poetic. He was actually giving us a precise tool for brain renovation.
And so it's so important for us to meditate on scripture on the word of the Lord, um, over and over again. And it literally I, I actually believe that I was healed from, um, a learning disability where I was not able to read or comprehend anything that I read because God would give me one scripture after I had a vision of it. And he spoke it to me. And then I would look it up. And I would say it, I would meditate on it over and over and over again. And I was then able to just over time read and comprehend. So it literally healed me of a learning disability. That is, that is so huge because, you know, you know, there's probably people that are watching this that might have a learning disability or might, or one of their parents or, you know, has a child that is dealing with a learning challenge. And I think it's going to really give them a hope, you know, that God can heal that, but sometimes it requires, you know, a spiritual discipline and consistency to, you know,
um, you know, to, to, you know, construct, you know, one construct, to reconstruct, you know, the spiritual dynamics of paradigm, you know, of what's going on. Yeah. It's so true. And with kids like my son, he was, he was diagnosed with ADHD. I was diagnosed with ADHD. And um, it's, he ADHD is like on the autism spectrum. And there are maybe a few things that I can identify with today where like I could see that is, you know, on the spectrum, you know, um, but I really believe, and I'm, I'm seeing it in my life and in my family, the healing of that through what we are constantly repeating and through what we practice in our life that, um, deconstructs permission for ADHD, if that makes sense. Um, like we don't, uh, we have found ways to keep us focused. Like I don't struggle with not being
able to focus anymore. I, I literally used to have read two lines and I would like drift off into law, law, land. That doesn't happen to me anymore. I am, I can sit in hyper focus for hours and hours on end. It doesn't matter what it's over. Um, and just having my son repeat scripture over himself or declare scripture over himself has been instrumental in his ability to overcome all the stuff that I really struggled with as a kid. He's, he doesn't take any medication. He's 15 years old. He's like on track with everything that he's supposed to be doing. Um, and so mine is writing like can read any struggles with, but it's because he's a boy and he uses keyboards all day. Yeah. And that's understandable. But so, but all of that to say like just repeating scripture or having your child say, Hey, repeat this after me, you know, um, before I would take my son to school in the morning, the whole car ride, I would have him repeat decrees over himself.
Like, Hey, honey, say this after me, say this now, say this now, um, the, you know, you're going to grow in favor and stature with who, with God and with man that you're, you're full of power and might buy what the Holy Spirit that you are strong and courageous. And God is what he's with you wherever you go that you have what the mind of Christ, mommy, I have the mind of Christ. That's right, baby. And if you have the mind of Christ, what does that mean? That means that I can get all the answers right on all of my work today because God knows the answers and if God knows the answers and he's in me, he'll help me see the answer. I'm like, that's right, baby. And you're going to do it, aren't you? Yeah, mom, I'm going to do it. So that's what we would do every day. And that's his reality, you know, yeah. And that just shows you that the word of God is living and active. And there's healing and power in the living word of God, you know, absolutely. And then the other thing to like, and saying that this just popped up is that, you know, I know people
like by all by all means, I mean, I say this literally, when I was a kid, I was classified as disabled. I was, I was with my learning, my learning disabilities and with my trauma, my, my emotional, my mental and emotional illnesses that I was diagnosed with, I was considered disabled. Okay. Now, if I had believed that when I got saved, do you think I would be where I'm at today? Not likely. No, I meet people all the time who are way less disabled than I used to be, who are on welfare. And when I talk to them about, hey, you know, you could go do this, you could do this. Like this is possible for you. Like this is possible for you. It's all in their mind when they say, no, I can't do that or know that would be too hard or no, I can't do this or
well, I don't know if I could do that. When, look, when there is a will, there's a way, right? And so if you are constantly telling yourself that everything is impossible for you, then it will be impossible for you. And that's why we see people who, you know, are quadriplegic and, you know, amputees that live normal lives and can shoot guns. I mean, I was literally just watching a doctorate last night on it. Like, really? Oh my gosh. Like, my, oh my god, I love him to my Papa Scott. I call him Papa Scott. He's my, one of my spiritual fathers who like his job is just to encourage the snot out of me and wonderful things about me and, and throw my love tank with words of affirmation. And he is a police officer and he has a disabled arm. Like one of his arms is disabled from a birth injury, but you would never know it. And he's a cop. So he literally had to
be able to bring a rifle up to his shoulder and shoot a gun. But he has one arm that is paralyzed and doesn't work like that. And God and his test to, to, in police academy, to be able to pass his tests to be a police officer. God gave him a word of knowledge that if he couldn't bring the gun up to his eye to take his eye down to the gun. And he passed his test and he is a amazing police officer and has never had an issue like on the field. But everybody else would have told him and everybody else did tell him, you're never going to pass. You'll never be a police officer because you're bum arm. So again, I'm just reinforcing that belief is key. That whatever you believe, you will actually receive. It's true. Even the occultists know this. So whatever if you believe you're a victim, guess what? You're never going to be an overcomer, right? That's right. If you believe that you're you're going to be poor for the rest of your life, you're going to have to work hard for everything.
Guess what? You will, right? If you hope that you're rejected, that you're abandoned, that God doesn't love you, that somebody else has more favor than you, that they're more talented than you, that they can do things more than you. And you believe that, then that's what's going to be true. But if you believe that the spirit of the living God is inside of you and that he is empowering you, he's educating you, he's filling you with wisdom and might and knowledge and wisdom and understanding to accomplish the good things that he had predestined for you. Before you were ever formed in your mother's womb, then there is nothing, nothing on this earth that will be impossible for you to achieve. Nothing. That's absolutely right. Amen. Yes. Amen. And we thought to believe that if it was possible for Jesus, it's possible for us. That's right, because Jesus is living son of us, because we are a temple. He wants to live vicariously
through us. Yes, in the holy matter. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Amen. Sorry, I went off and tangent there. No, that was really good. That was really powerful. I think people need to hear that. Yes. Okay. So the next one, guys, is number five, it's corporate gathering. It causes co-regulation and releases oxytocin. So it says in Hebrews, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together. So in polyvagal theory, which is the science of your vagus nerve and your sympathetic nervous system, neural structures of social engagement allow us to express our feelings through facial expressions and and parroting each other's voice. So being in a physical presence of safe trusted people activates the ventral vagal state of safety and connection. So this is like
babies need to have this where, you know, it's so important to like mirror our babies emotions so that they we grow up emotionally mature. One of my deepest traumas was that I was never allowed to cry or to grieve or to feel bad because my parents wanted didn't want to experience that. So if I hurt, they would hurt. And this is really common with a lot of, you know, just immature parents. And, you know, because of trauma, right? Like I don't blame them for that. It is what it is. And one of the most powerful healing experiences that I had was I was in this memory and I could feel that I was, you know, a young girl. I was young. And I was crying. And I just wanted somebody to see that I was hurting and hurt because I hurt. That's all I needed. I mean, fully recognizing and acknowledged. Yes. Just acknowledge that I'm hurting and tell me
that my pain matters to you. That's all I need. And I saw, you know, the face of the father come. And when I would cry, he would cry. And he just mirrored my emotions. That's all he did. And then he smiled at me the moment that I recognized my reflection in his eyes. And instantly that part of me was healed. And I didn't understand any of this. Like I didn't know about it. That's just so incredible how you didn't necessarily have a framework for it. But but you were being said free. Yeah. And it slowed me physically. I had a physical healing in my body as a result of this too. Wow. And it actually healed my hormones, believe it or not. And it was just crazy. It was a wild experience. And after that, I never struggled with feeling misunderstood ever again, which is a big thing with like inspirational personality types. I don't deal with that.
Like if somebody misunderstands me, oh, I'm sorry. Like how can I help? How can I love you better the next time? You know, like that's the conversation. Not let me defend myself. Right. Yeah. Yeah. It's interesting to what you're sharing about how a lot of times these things can connect with physical symptoms and physical issues in the body, you know, with the emotional attachment dynamics, right? Not maybe not always the case, but it seems like mostly the case, right? Yes. Different toxic emotions are unresolved, healing in the emotional realm can affect the physical body in different ways. 100%. This is even like they talk about this in terminal disease treatment is where there is unprocessed pain or unprocessed. Like if there's unforgiveness, that's a big one. Yes. Patients who deal with unforgiveness are like their chances
of dying prematurely are increased by like 60%. It's huge. And then we wonder why Jesus spoke over and over again about forgiveness, right? Like that we've got to forgive our brother seven times seven. Like, you know, so, but being in a group of people, corporate gathering that you, like people that you feel safe with, it fosters a sense of belonging and it releases oxytocin, which is a feel good chemical that activates the vagal nerve. So isolation is really emotionally harmful and it's neurologically deregulating. And so shared communion, mutual participation, feeling like you belong to something bigger than yourself, it actually co you co-regulate other people's nervous systems through presence, through shared meals, through shared worship,
and through shared life. And so that is really cool too that like, you know, we need to have community that another one is lament or grief. So completing it because it causes us to complete the grief's cycle. So the Hebrew word, okay, so here it says in the Psalms it says that our Romans, the spirit himself intercedes through us with groaning's too deep for words. I thought that I knew what this meant until I went through a season of being healed from chronic fatigue and adrenal fatigue. And it was a season of really prolonged warfare and my whole nervous system was jacked up. And every time I would go to be with the Lord, I would sit with him and he would, as soon as I felt his presence, I would just start crying
and sobbing and not know why. Like, there would be no words, there would be no explanation for it. And I actually didn't even want to do it because I hate appearing weak and I hate crying. And, you know, because I have to mess my mask era up and all this stuff. And like, you know, like, I just, it's messy. I don't like to cry. And I, it got to the point where I'm like, okay, God, let's, I'm just going to go to the secret place. Let's just get this over with. Like, just do your thing, make me cry. Like I, so I can be done today. And I didn't realize that as I was doing that, that, you know, modern trauma research confirms that the body has to complete a stress cycle. So suppressing our grief keeps the nervous system locked in a trauma state. But as soon as we express it, we are able, like, the cycle is able to finish it. So wherever there has been unprocessed emotions, right? We have processed the emotion in order for the healing to come.
And crying is one of the best ways to stimulate your vagus nerve. One of the best ways is to cry. There's actually healing chemicals in our tears, like the, the, the hormones that are released when we cry heal our parasympathetic nervous system and heal our physical bodies. So it's super powerful to just be able to grieve. That's remarkable. Cause it, it sounds like there's a greater depth of that emotionally healing that can take place as a result of, of shedding tears. Yeah, even if you don't have language, just the, just the crying. And I noticed this working with post-aborted women that they went through their abortion. And then they, they believed that they were not permitted to grieve because they were the ones that ended their baby's life. So they didn't have a right to grieve. And you see them, you know, they're not even able to talk about it
for almost 20 years. Oh, my word. That, that is on average, the average. Yes. Oh, my word. That is a long line to keep that emotional thing inside. And then you remember why women are hurting and why we've got so many health issues and why marriage is struggle. And so, yeah, that they're not even able to grieve. Many of them that I ministered to hadn't ever grieved the loss of their baby until the moment that I started ministry with them. And then it was like everything completely shifted in their life. So that's really important. Just giving it like giving yourself permission to say, Hey, that sucked. And it was hurtful. And what they did was wrong. And that wasn't okay. And it does really hurt. And you're allowed to hurt. You know, I think that that's a big Christian thing to do is like to pretend like there's not pain. That's a lie. They're in pain, but we're not
alone in our pain. That's the thing. That's that's the hope that we have as believers. And then the two other things, so Sabbath rest, which is parasympathetic dominance, that's literally like your body cannot be on constant overdrive. It has to be like, you know, you've got to treat it like a high end race car. And that's that's how I explain, you know, biblical rest. It's moving when God tells you to move. And it's slowing down and moving over into, you know, the pit pit zone so that the crew can angels and the Holy Spirit can come and minister to you from your season of, you know, pedal to the metal, right? And so rest or Sabbath rest is life's activity flowing from connection to God. And that also means sitting down and not working hard and enjoying the blessings that God has given you. And it does all sorts of amazing things.
It literally deactivates adrenal fatigue, inflammation, immune suppression, and cognitive decline. So all of those things are healed when we actually honor the Lord's Sabbath and keep it holy. There's also some really major benefits right there. Wow, that's man. That's and then the very last one and this one is really important. It's the laying on of hands and physical touch, specifically hugs. And it hugs release oxytocin and they create co-regulation. So researchers have shown that when we express appreciation and connection, our bodies release oxytocin, which expands our blood vessels. It reduces our blood pressure and it protects our heart. And safe loving physical touch activates our vagal circuit, which reduces cortisol,
increases oxytocin, signals safety to our nervous system at a level that's way deeper than words can reach. And so the early church practice, like the laying on of hands, not as a ritual, but as a transfer point. So a place where the spirit moved through physical contact and science actually confirms that human touch is one of the most powerful nervous system regulators in existence. So just knowing that somebody next to you is struggling and reaching over and putting an arm around them, holding their hands, it grounds them and it immediately releases the chemicals that signal safety and security and groundedness to that person. And so every one of those practices, they were all commanded in scripture thousands of years before neuroscience existed. So God did not design the nervous system and then forget to give us the manual. Like it was all there.
So the singing, declaring, thanking, meditating, gathering, grieving, resting from all of our labor and even giving each other a hug. Every single one has been clinically validated as a direct intervention for nervous system regulation. And that is all behind physical healing of trauma. Well, I just loved how you're just dropping these healing bombs that are practical. I believe that will bring about a greater measure and depth of healing for those that are watching and maybe confirm for those that are on a healing track, confirm that they are coming into alignment with these biblical kingdom principles of healing and being able to walk into the fullness because we serve a good father. He loves us and he wants us healed. He wants us
fully healed and made a whole and not having parts of us being used by God, but the whole part of how God made us wonderfully and beautifully made coming into its fullness as a daughter and son of the king. Absolutely. And I would like to say to if there's anybody watching and you're like, man, I feel like I actually just need some more help. Like I need somebody to help guide me through interhealing or through deliverance. We have the Shalom Interhealing and Deliverance Center. It's a virtual center where you can make a virtual appointment via Zoom with a team of excellently trained ministers and Christian counselors that will help walk you through that journey. They are like the interhealing journeys are so beautiful. My daughter, she actually is the overseer of our center and she's 22 so she's an adult guys and she's very
anointed within her healing. That's so amazing. I like to strike demons. She loves to heal broken hearts. But it does make a great team. So we can't really trade off. Okay. When we work together on the team, you handle this part, I'll handle the next part, but she oversees everything and one of the things that she does is that she actually has a eye, create a picture of the interhealing moment where Jesus comes and like takes the person's pain and gives them a gift in exchange. And it is so powerful. And then you can like take that picture and look at it and it's like a marking moment. That's fantastic. Yeah. Who's the technology to advance the kingdom and to help people be set free? Right. Exactly. And so, you know, if you do schedule an appointment, my daughter, she's getting ready to have a baby. So she's not online taking appointments right now. But you can tell any one of our staff that that's what you would like, that you would like that and
they will do it for you. So they all know how to do it too. So yeah, that's that'll be a really great option for you if you need some more help or just want to encounter the Lord in deeper ways. That's absolutely fantastic. So guys, if you're watching this on your TV, you can scan the QR code and we'll point you right to Chris's ministry of rice kingdom ministries or go to christialesha.com. And then you can find not just about booking the appointment as she was referring to, but also all your various resources and books and your community and your music and just all of it is all there. You just have a ton of resources and you have a shop for other various items as well from what I've seen. So there's a lot there guys. There's a lot there than just making appointments, even though that's great as well. And those that want to come into a greater measure and fullness of your healing, very excellent opportunity to do that,
but also you have a lot there. And also I was reminded when you were talking about you know, a decrease in all that you've written a book on decrease and I'm sorry, I don't have that QR code ready, but you have a you have a book. Oh great. Oh, let me hide this. Yeah, the book on the crease. Yes. Yes. The poet hasn't destroyed how. Yes. Yes. I love it. And I actually, using neuroscience, I wrote some biblical decrees for identity and security. Some of these decrees, it's, yes, they're issuing like things in the spirit through our decree, but a lot of them are actually rewiring our nervous system. And so this is my little Jehovah sneaky way of doing a butterfly brain trick on you. Yes, both a weapon and a healing bomb combined. I love it. I love it. Well guys, man, guys, please don't like don't forget to like share
and subscribe to this episode for those that want just a breakthrough in their emotional mental spiritual well-being and health. This is the episode that you need to share with those people that you know, your friends, your family. I don't know why my camera's going on a focus, but yes. So guys, please check out Chris's website on chrisolice.com and to learn more about all the various resources that she used to offer. And and then her born for battle book, which I'll show that here in a second. Here it is, born for battle. And she referenced that a little bit in her and what she was sharing as well. And excellent book. And I, we did talk about the book a little bit more thoroughly last year. So you can search for word for battle, chrisolice talks about on YouTube or on Spotify and be able to pull up that episode we did before. So man, this was such such a great just a lot to a lot of great things to process. But I believe it's going to help people in various
ways in their life to be walking into the full freedom that Christ has already given, you know, those sons and daughters in the kingdom. So thank you so much, Christophe, for being on Talks with Gallagher. I really appreciate everything that you shared. And I love the practical things that you shared at the end too that I think that's really going to help people with a greater tool about to navigate life in a more healthier way. And not let not you, you know, not this victim mentality that's so toxic. But walking into victory, standing in the finish work of the cross, you know, and we're approaching Easter. So this is just the perfect, perfect timing, you know, as we coming into the resurrection work of the cross that Jesus laid down his life for us. Amen. Yes, absolutely 100%. And, you know, to the other thing, I think the big thing about all of this is that it's something that we have to choose. It's a wonderful decision. God didn't make us such robots, you know?
Right. And I think the other thing too, if there's any wisdom that I can leave everybody with, it's that, you know, when God was doing all these things in my life, it's not because I felt good and I wanted to sing. It's not because, you know, I was, you know, wanted to be grateful, because actually there wasn't a lot that I could see to be grateful for. Like all of these practices I did because God told me to, and I had to make a choice to like integrate them into my life, regardless of how I felt, trusting that if I listen and obeyed, that there were going to be real results in my life. And, and then it got to be something that I didn't force myself to do. It got to be something that I desired to do. And so using whether or not you feel like it, because he's worthy. Amen. And you thanks to the Lord, not because you are feeling thankful.
Feelings are fickle. They're subject to change. But he deserves to be thanked for everything that he's done for us, regardless of how we feel in our present moment. And once you agree with heaven, your emotions will be, your emotions will follow. And so I just bless all of you with that. And I just ask God that you would just, your spirit would go out and you would give, I just hear the Lord saying, grit, that you would give grit to your people to actually lay a hold of these tools that you have put in your word and in our life to activate so that we can step into a place of fullness in you in Jesus mighty name. Amen. Amen. Yeah. I just want to, I want you to pray actually for those that are watching listening. But I just want to just kind of summarize what you were just saying, you know, faith is not based on our feelings, right? But it's, but faith is the subs of things hope for, right? It's believing that God has already done it because he did it
on the cross. It's the finished work that has already been accomplished. And we just need to come into that kingdom alignment through that. But can you just pray for those that are watching listening right now that want to be set free, that want their, want their soul, the core of their being. And, you know, if they're dealing with, you know, fragmented soul that they could all come together. And before the healed by Jesus and that they would have a fresh encounter with the living God. Yeah. So I've actually never done this before, like, like this way, but I just right now in the name of Jesus, I release the sword of the spirit to separate all demonic influence and personalities, all programming from demons, from every broken fragmented heart right now. And I command their influence. I command the lives of the enemy to separate from the core identity and the born again spirit man of every person under the sound of my voice. Holy spirit,
we are asking that this would happen so that your people would have a clear understanding of where you are speaking to them and where something else is speaking to them. Because the moment that they can recognize where the enemy has infiltrated their thought processes is the moment that they can renounce, repent and replace all the lies that have been put there in exchange for your truth and for your spirit. And so father, we just thank you right now for that you who started a good work. And us, we'll see it to completion. I speak the peace of God that surpasses understanding over every person under the sound of my voice. And father, I just release even just a grace right now in the same way that you put the grace on my life to know and to follow you and to passionately
pursue everything that abundant life that you died to give us God that everyone under the sound of my voice that they will chase hard after that promise as well. And that as they chase hard after that promise, they will seek and they will find they will knock and they will discover more and more and more of you and who you are through them and in them in Jesus mighty name amen. And yeah, yeah, father, I really do. I just I see many people watching or listening and the testimonies that I shared you've witnessed with and the Lord is saying grab those testimonies as prophetic words and prophetic promises for you because a testimony just means do it again. And God is going to do it again in your life and the way that he's done it in mine. I've met people who have literally they've gotten healed from the same things that I have just through hearing my story. And so
I bless you to take a hold of that for yourself and ask God how to begin to activate it in your life because it takes active participation. Amen. Amen. Yes. Yes. So I think this is such an encouraging word that you left at the end to come into that agreement of the healing and the victory and the promises and the prophetic words that have been spoken over your lives and to allow God to, you know, cooperate in moving forward and thrusting forward into that greater dimension of fullness that he has for you. So man, Chris, this has just been a really great conversation with you and I just really enjoyed you unpacking this really significant topic and relevant to about the neuroscience of of trauma and how can it affect our lives but how we can, you know, be victorious victorious warriors. Amen. Yes. Because you were born again to win.
Amen. Yes. Yes. That's my whole thing. You were born again to win. There are no victims in the kingdom. Jesus became a victim so that you could walk in his victory. And so that's that's it. There's no other option. Right. Amen. That's right. And then well, guys, don't forget to like, share and subscribe to this episode. And until next time, we'll see you soon. Thank you, everyone.
