089: Schizopatronus!

Lucas joins Nathan for a good old fashioned schizocast episode to discuss the controversy around the new Harry Potter game, the stranglehold the film and book series had on British youth culture in years past, the not so delicate handling of shoehorning a trans character in, bringing a gun into Hogwarts and how developers and game quality in the modern day are crushed by deadlines. The lads also get into the on-going situation in Ohio and Trump’s ‘aid drop’ of a few pallets of water and buying McDonalds for everyone, the year anniversary of the invasion of Ukraine, the former US secretary of Energy, Sam Brinton, stealing a Tanzanian clothing designer’s luggage and wearing it publicly, Sam Hyde’s TED Talk and Lucas gets into Sam Hyde lore, car dependent infrastructure and how government intervention to fix this issue instantly trends authoritarian. The lads also touch on home invasion horror films like the new M. Night Shyamalan ‘Knock at the Cabin’ and the original Purge movie.
