Yehuda Almagor

Jewish journalist and literary critic

Yehuda Almagor was a Romanian-born Israeli journalist, poet, and literary critic. He was born in 1908 in Oradea, Romania, and immigrated to Mandatory Palestine in the 1930s. Almagor served as the editor-in-chief of the Jerusalem Post from 1945 until his death in 1971. He is considered one of the most important Jewish journalists of the 20th century, known for his work on Israeli politics and culture.
