Greek politician and former Prime Minister of Greece. Born in 1953 in Athens, Greece. He served as Prime Minister from 1996 to 2004 and was a key figure in the Greek government during the 2008 financial crisis. Simitis is also known for his efforts to modernize Greece's economy and politics.
