Trypho the Jew was a 2nd-century Jewish philosopher and scholar. He is best known for his dialogue with Justin Martyr, in which he defends his Jewish faith against Christian apologetics. He was a prominent figure in the Jewish community in Nicomedia and was known for his knowledge of the Hebrew scriptures.
