Tom Frieden is a physician and public health expert who served as the Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) from 2009 to 2017. He is a prominent voice on global health issues and has written extensively on topics such as infectious disease, vaccine policy, and public health infrastructure. Frieden is also a professor at the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy.
