He was born in Altus, Oklahoma, and rose to fame in the 2010s with his appearance on the Netflix documentary series 'Tiger King'. Exotic has been involved in various controversies and has been recognized for his eccentric personality. He is currently serving a 22-year prison sentence for murder-for-hire.
