Svetlana Ivanovna Melnikova is a Russian theater and art historian, professor, and member of the Union of Theatre Workers of the Russian Federation. She has received awards from the government of St. Petersburg and has been honored by the President of the Russian Federation. She is the head of the Department of Dramaturgy and Cinema at the St. Petersburg State Institute of Theatre Arts.
