Sultan Ismail

Sultan Ismail was a Sultan of the Kingdom of Aceh. He was a member of the House of Iskandar Muda. Sultan Ismail ascended to the throne in 1890 after the death of his father. He played a significant role in the Acehnese independence movement against Dutch colonial rule. He died on April 8, 1906, at the age of 27.
