Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh
Sophie, Countess of Wessex, is a member of the British royal family. She was born on August 1, 1965, in Renfrew, Scotland. She married Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex, in 1999. The couple has two children, Lady Louise Mountbatten-Windsor and James Mountbatten-Windsor, Viscount Severn. Sophie is known for her charitable work, particularly with the Royal National Theatre and the National Portrait Gallery.
