Wilfredo Gómez, known professionally as Sonny Liston, was an American professional boxer who competed from 1954 to 1970. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest boxers of all time, known for his formidable punching power and aggressive fighting style. Liston won the heavyweight championship of the world twice and was known for his intimidating presence in the ring. He died on May 30, 1970, at the age of 38.
