Sobchak, Anatoly

Anatoly Sobchak is a Russian politician who served as the Mayor of St. Petersburg from 1996 to 2000. He was a key figure in Russia's transition from the Soviet Union to a market-based economy and played a significant role in organizing the first Russian presidential campaign in 2000. Sobchak was also a close friend and ally of Vladimir Putin.
