Sayyid Muhammad Hussain al-Sadr is an Iraqi Shia cleric and politician. He is the leader of the Sadrist Movement, a prominent Shia political party in Iraq. Al-Sadr was born in 1952 in Najaf, Iraq, and has been a key figure in Iraqi politics since the 1990s. He is known for his advocacy of Shia rights and his criticism of the Iraqi government.
