Rita Pangalangan

Rita Pangalangan is an American teacher and mother who was named 2014 Teacher of the Year in Walterboro's Black Street Early Education Center. She has been open about her struggles with grief and loss after the death of her daughter, Cristina. Pangalangan has used her platform to raise awareness about child abuse and neglect, and has advocated for greater support for families affected by tragedy.
