Rick Danko
Musician and songwriter
Rick Danko was a musician and songwriter best known for his work with The Band. He was a founding member of the group and played bass guitar on many of their recordings. Danko was also a talented songwriter and wrote or co-wrote many of The Band's most famous songs, including "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down". He passed away in 1999.
