Richard Hughes
Richard Hughes was a Jamaican-born British novelist, journalist, and sailor. He was born in 1872 in Kingston, Jamaica, and died in 1919. Hughes was known for his vivid descriptions of life at sea and his novels often explored themes of adventure, piracy, and the human condition. His works include 'High Wind in Jamaica', 'The Angry Sea', and 'The People of the Sea'.
