Reverend Samuel Parris
Reverend Samuel Parris was a prominent figure in the Puritan community of Salem, Massachusetts. He was a minister and a leader in the local government. Parris was married to Elizabeth Proctor, with whom he had six children. He is best known for his involvement in the Salem witch trials. In 1697, he wrote a book about the trials, titled 'A Treatise of the Afflicted'.
