McCoy Tyner
Jazz pianist and composer
McCoy Tyner was an American jazz pianist and composer. He was born in 1938 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and began playing piano at a young age. Tyner was a key figure in the free jazz movement of the 1960s and is known for his work with the John Coltrane Quartet. He released his debut album in 1961 and went on to become one of the most influential jazz pianists of all time. Tyner passed away in 2020.
