Matilda of Flanders was the wife of William I of England and the Queen of England from 1066 until her death in 1083. She was the daughter of Baldwin V, Count of Flanders, and was known for her strong character and her influence on her husband. Matilda of Flanders was born in 1031 and died in 1083.
