Louis Raymond Brock Jr. is a former American professional baseball outfielder. He played 17 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs. Born on June 15, 1944, in Wabash, Indiana, Brock is best known for his record-breaking speed and his time with the Cardinals. He was an eight-time Gold Glove Award winner and was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1985.
