Leopold I was the Elector of Brandenburg from 1619 to 1657. He was a member of the Hohenzollern dynasty and played an important role in the history of Prussia. He was a strong supporter of the Protestant Reformation and worked to promote the interests of his state. He was also a skilled military leader and fought against the Swedish Empire.
