L Frank Baum
American author and screenwriter
Lyman Frank Baum (1856-1919) was an American author, best known for his children's novels, particularly 'The Wonderful Wizard of Oz'. Baum was born in Chittenango, New York, and began his writing career in the late 19th century. He is also known for creating the character of Santa Claus, which he featured in his 1906 novel 'The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus'. Baum's works are still widely read and adapted today.
