Koji Mukai

Japanese astronaut and physicist

Koji Mukai is a Japanese astronaut and physicist. He was born in 1952 in Tokyo, Japan. Mukai earned his Ph.D. in physics from the University of Tokyo and worked as a researcher at the Institute for Space and Astronautical Science before being selected as an astronaut by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) in 1990.
