King Ajatashatru was the king of Magadha and the ruler of the Shakya kingdom. He was the son of King Bimbisara and succeeded him as king. He was known for his cruelty and ruthlessness, and was responsible for the death of his father and several other members of his family. He was also known for his military conquests and his expansion of the Shakya kingdom.
