King Ahaz
King Ahaz was the king of Judah from 715 to 687 BCE. He was a member of the House of David and ruled the kingdom after the death of his father, Jotham. His reign was marked by conflicts with the Assyrians and the Arameans, but he also strengthened the Jewish economy and military. Ahaz is also known for his reliance on the Syrian king Tiglath-Pileser III for military support.
