Kemmons Wilson was an American hotel entrepreneur and founder of Holiday Inn. Born in 1902 in Memphis, Tennessee, Kemmons grew up in a family of modest means and developed a passion for business at an early age. He opened his first hotel, the Wilson Hotel, in 1930 and went on to found Holiday Inn in 1952. Kemmons was known for his innovative approach to hotel management and his commitment to customer service.
