Jacob Sibbes

Jacob Sibbes was a Dutch theologian and pastor who lived in the 17th century. He is best known for his book 'The Bruised Reed and Smoldering Embers', which is a classic of Reformed theology. He was a prominent figure in the Dutch Reformed Church and was known for his powerful preaching and his emphasis on the importance of prayer and spiritual discipline. He died in 1639 at the age of 35.
