Hólmfríður Garðarsdóttir is an Icelandic academic and professor of Spanish and Latin American literature at the University of Iceland. She has a strong background in linguistics and has published extensively on Latin American literature and culture. Born in Iceland, Garðarsdóttir is fluent in several languages and has a deep understanding of the languages spoken in Iceland. She is currently based in Reykjavik.
