Henry Fowler

Henry Fowler was a British lexicographer, grammarian, and academic. He is best known for his work on the Oxford English Dictionary and his book 'A Dictionary of Modern English Usage'. Born in 1850, Fowler served as the editor of the dictionary from 1893 until his death in 1931. His contributions to linguistics and language usage have had a lasting impact on English language studies.
