Frits Bolkestein
Former Dutch politician and MEP
Frits Bolkestein was a Dutch politician and Member of the European Parliament. He was a member of the Christian Democratic Appeal and served as a MEP from 1999 to 2009. Bolkestein was known for his liberal and free-market views and was a strong advocate for human rights and democracy. He was also a vocal critic of the European Union's policies on immigration and asylum. Bolkestein passed away in 2013.
