Ed Witten
Theoretical physicist and mathematician
Ed Witten is an American theoretical physicist and mathematician. He is known for his work in string theory and supergravity. Witten is the current director of the Institute for Advanced Study and has made significant contributions to our understanding of particle physics and cosmology. He has been awarded numerous prizes for his work, including the Fields Medal and the Wolf Prize in Physics.
